To honor and remember 9/11, we invited WeDriveU team members to share reflections. Their memories include seeing the smoke across the harbor in Brooklyn, visiting the 107th floor of one of the Twin Towers a year before, worrying about a grandmother who worked at the Pentagon, and many more heartfelt stories. We also heard from Veterans on our team who have proudly served our country, including one whose spouse was active duty, stationed on a destroyer at the time.

We thank our team for their touching tributes and their service to our country and communities. They encourage us all to ensure future generations understand the sacrifices that day are honored and never forgotten.

Today, WeDriveU’s Women’s Inspiration Network ERG is hosting a virtual event for employees to celebrate the enactment of the 19th Amendment giving women the right to vote. We'll also discuss the important work still to do supporting and advancing women and share exciting news about WIN programming this Fall.

This week's celebration of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) anniversary and month was very special at . Our colleague Robbie Werth joined us to record a fireside chat on the backstory of the legislation and his entrepreneurial journey with disability rights advocates who shaped this important civil rights law to ensure all people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else.

Robbie emphasized ABILITY and what people CAN do. He praised our paratransit drivers in DC, MD, VA (where he and the team are doing big things with customers) and drivers across the U.S. for their compassion, skill and focus on safety serving passengers "door to door" on behalf of our customers.

From 45 years ago with one van at Diamond Transportation to National Express Transit, now part our family of 5,500 employees at WeDriveU, Robbie's impact on the community, our company and industry is an inspiration.

WeDriveU General Manager Keyshana Jackson is back from the 2024 Conference Of Minority Transportation Officials - COMTO national conference, where she represented the Steering Committee for our Ubuntu employee resource group. Keyshana said, "Going to this event and being around like-minded people who looked like me was very inspiring."

Keyshana is a rising star who was recently promoted from Account Manager to GM, and now oversees WeDriveU's team and operation at our Austin, TX Customer Service Center serving strategic customers. She says COMTO was a great experience, adding, "The amount of women in the room was astonishing and gave me reassurance that I'm headed on the right path." As a COMTO member who also shares her passion and drive as part of our Women's Inspiration Network ERG, we couldn't be more proud.

50 years and 4M miles as a bus driver! The City of Charleston, SC declared today "Charles Frasier Day" and what a day it was. Our Shuttle & Transit team was there to salute Charles, who was honored with a new CARTA bus shelter named for him and a limo ride to his celebration.

Our Area GM David Bonner shared that four of Charles' eight children and one of 13 grandchildren joined the event. David added, “Mr. Frasier is a kind and caring individual who always operates his bus with professionalism and compassion, and I've had the honor of knowing him for over 30 years. When he started driving for us in 1974, there was no power steering, no air conditioning, and no way to communicate back to base -- not even a radio. He had to stop the bus and find a pay phone (in a phone booth!) to stay in touch. Since then, he has driven over 4 million miles. Can you imagine?”
