Thank you to all who came out to walk at the Silicon Valley Pride Parade with the Labor Council and Pride At Work. We were proud to march through Downtown San Jose and show our support for the LGBTQ+ Community and all our labor siblings.

The South Bay Labor Council and Pride At Work will be walking in the Silicon Valley Pride Parade this August. Join us at the Pride Parade and Pride Festival on August 24th and 25th in Downtown San Jose.

This town hall is organized by doctors, neighbors, health advocates, patients, and Santa Clara residents. All are welcome to attend.

The South Bay Labor Council was proud to see community leaders, medical professionals, labor advocates, and elected officials from the local to state level joining together to demand that that East Side San José maintains access to the invaluable resources provided by Regional Medical Center.

Pride At Work has been instrumental in advocating for LGBTQ+ rights and protections throughout its lifetime. Its work supporting LGBTQ+ voices in the Labor Movement continues today across it chapters throughout the United States, including in California’s South Bay.

Victory!

A WIN FOR DEMOCRACY: The Supreme Court has ruled to remove the from the Nov 2024 ballot. 🗳

Disguised as a measure to protect taxpayers, this measure was the attempt of greedy corporations to undo progress that centers working families and fund vital services like education, healthcare, safety, and housing/homelessness programs by undermining local governments' ability to generate revenue.

The Supreme Court's ruling is a victory for all Californians—from Silicon Valley to the inland empire, and a win for democracy and public welfare that sends a clear message: We will not fall for baseless, misleading claims of “protecting” our rights. Thanks goes to the leadership of Councilmember David Cohen, South Bay Labor Council, and our many allies supporting our City of San José Santa Clara County communities.

As we celebrate this victory, it's important to remain vigilant. We must prevail against misleading measures and for the protection of our public services. Whether we were born here, or chose to make California our home, let's stay informed, engaged, and committed to ensuring a fair and just future for all Californians.
