**Licensed Professionals, please read. I copied this from another therapist because I think it's extremely important that we take action against this deceptive marketing practice that harms therapists and potential clients.**

Therapist friends, this is a call to action! Check to see if you are listed, file complaints, and share this information with other therapists.
I was just made aware that a company called Care Dash has partnered with Better Help to drive referrals. They are finding (often wrong or outdated) information online about therapists WHO HAVE NOT JOINED OR CONSENTED to being included and adding it to their website.
When a person goes to their site to search, a profile for me shows up me, including links to schedule with me online (which isn’t something I have ever offered). When you click the link, it informs them that I haven’t provided a way for clients to schedule through their website and redirects the client to Better Help.
Here is a recent publication that Clinical Social Work Association made about the issue, though it seems to impact all license types. They also list good info on how to make complaints, what can be done about this kind of predatory marketing.
