Tournament recap. Great event all around with a full field of 120 bowlers (60 Doubles Teams). This year's event was upgraded to a Super Regional which gave a larger prize fund and live streaming on BowlTV.
We had great crowds to watch both qualifying on Saturday and Match Play finals on Sunday.
The Pro-Ams were full with bowlers of all ages and had a great time.
We had lots of items for our ball raffle and silent auction sports memorabilia. Plus we had wonderful dye sub items from AbouDesigns. All of these items generated over $2000 for the Tony Reyes Youth Scholarship fund.
Tournament lane conditions were a bit challenging during qualifying, but in match play the bowlers really turned it on.
The top four teams in the step ladder included the previous 2 winners of the event Zweig/Leverage and Haggerty/Corwin. Defending champions Haggerty/Corwin easily moved past the first two matches to battle tournament leaders Darren Tang and Steve Kloempken for the title. It was a tight match until the 8th frame when the Haggerty/Corwin team split, giving the opening Tang/Kloempken needed to secure the title.
Thanks to all the sponsors, Pro-Am bowlers, the 4th Street Bowl Staff, Aimee and Josh Blanchard, Kurtis Von Krueger and BowlTV, all the tournament bowlers, all the spectators and supporters that helped with the scholarship fund. Special thanks to the the Reyes and Leong families for being there to remind us all what these wonderful ambassadors of the sport meant to all of us.
See you all next year!

This year’s Tony Reyes/Terry Leong Memorial PBA Junior/Senior Doubles Tournament held August 27-28, 2022 at 4th Street Bowl was a fantastic success with a sold out field of 55 doubles teams (110 players). Congratulations to PJ Haggerty and Rich Corwin for winning this year’s event. Many of the bowlers were honored to participate in a tournament that was in memory of Tony and Terry. We had awesome people who supported our raffles and silent auction during the Pro-Am events on Friday and Saturday evening.

We were able to raise over $2500 for the Tony Reyes Memorial Youth Scholarship Fund that will go directly to helping young bowlers in the Bay Area, a cause that Tony held dear to his heart.

We hope to make this tournament even bigger and better next year. Thanks again for helping us honor these men who gave so much to the sport they loved.

Thanks to the Reyes and Leong Families for supporting and bowling in this event. it makes it special when we can all see each other.
