Recent project: QuickBooks makes it their mission to help small businesses and entrepreneurs thrive. As part of their outreach efforts, they partnered with munson.design to help create a website offering free articles and videos on everything from planning your business to finding funding, managing inventory, paying taxes, and lots more.

Recent project: A leader in the skincare industry, WestDerm is one of the largest dermatology companies in the United States, with over 100 providers. WestDerm tapped munson.design to reinvigorate and optimize their brand for future growth. We partnered with designer James van Kriedt to build a comprehensive system, including a brand standards guide, logo, print collateral, website and email templates.

Project case study: Orchid is a platform that incentivizes and enables privacy and freedom on the internet, using blockchain and VPN clients. Orchid partnered with munson.design to make these abstract ideas more understandable using visual storytelling in a two-minute video. Orchid provided the brand imagery, and we designed and produced the animation.

Project case study: What do you get when you combine biology with machine learning? The exciting result is insitro, a San Francisco Bay Area company with the potential to develop and fast track life changing pharmaceuticals. munsonDesign is now munson.design

Why the change?
Originally, we used the stylized treatment of munsonDesign to be slightly subversive — by not capitalizing our formal name and by capitalizing our service name — and it also created a nice symmetry for our word mark. SO edgy, we know. It’s a very simple mark that we’ll always be nostalgic for, but it’s time for a update.

What’s the change?
We’re always looking for ways to reduce clutter, and simplifying our brand name is another example. It’s a subtle change, but now, our brand name and website address are one and the same – munson.design. While we still deliver print design, our focus over the years has turned more and more to digital. The new brand reflects that.

What else?
Along with our name evolution, we’ve re-worked our typography and color palette, and this can be best seen with our new website at munson.design. We’re also happy to announce our expanding service offering: while our hearts are always content designing and developing websites and print, we now also provide email design, display and social advertising, and video design and animation production.
