Rounded pilgrim flasks of this type were carried by religious travelers as they visited temples along their route. The blue color of this flask is very much associated with the Eighteenth Dynasty, and this may date to the time of Akhenaten, being carried by a pilgrim to the temple of the Aten. (New Kingdom; faience; h: 10 cm)
