Just because the cold weather is here, doesn’t mean it’s time to go back to shaving. Consistency is key to having continued success with sugaring.

If you continue to sugar through the winter you will begin to see a reduction in hair growth. As you sugar, you are pulling the hair out by the root. Each time you do this it causes damage to the hair follicle. Eventually, this hair follicle will stop growing hair altogether! The longer you continue to sugar, the less hair will grow back. Even the hairs that do continue to grow will be weaker and get continuously thinner each time you sugar.

It is important not to shave in between sugaring sessions. Shaving in between your sessions leads to mixed results!

Maddy is our Lead Sugarist and studio manager. Known for her loving personality, clients tell us they really feel a connection with her. Her experience and expertise make her an incredible mentor to all of those she teaches. Maddy is engaged to the love of her life and has fully embraced the role of “mom dog”. Cassie has been part of the OC Sugaring team for almost a year! She started as an intern under Maddy and has been taking her own clients since March. She was a natural from the get go and picked up the art of sugaring super quick! Cassie grew up in OC, is a mom of 2 boys, wife of an Irishman (yes we swoon over his accent too) and quite honestly the most down to earth human we have ever met. Her gift is her ability to make people feel like she has known you all of your life.

She is the sweetheart of the studio and we feel blessed to have her in our family. 💕

We believe that body positivity is not about accepting what we believe are flaws about ourselves. Its about knowing that your body does not define your worth. Hair, stretch-marks, cellulite, fat…these things are actually not flaws at all. We truly want each of our clients to walk into our space knowing that no matter what they think or feel about their body, we see it as beautiful. We don’t want them to simply accept these things about their body, we want them to be at peace with their body…even the parts they don’t love. We want to help rewire brains to get rid of the idea that our worth is defined by how attractive we are. Hair removal is not about what society sees as beautiful… It’s about how we want to feel about ourselves.
