📢 Please Take 30-seconds to tell Harvard to Return Our Relatives https://indigenouspeoplesmovement.org/harvard/ 🌍🌿

Harvard University currently holds approximately 7,000 sacred Indigenous bones in their possession, and it is past time for them to be returned to their rightful resting places.

We are morally obligated to stand against such injustice and work towards a just and inclusive society.

For far too long, these ancestral remains have been separated from their communities, disrupting the spiritual and cultural practices of Indigenous peoples. It's time for Harvard to recognize the significance of these bones and take meaningful action. By filling out this form we can send a powerful message that the appropriation and exploitation of Indigenous heritage will not be tolerated.

Please stand together in solidarity with Indigenous communities and demand accountability from one of the most prestigious institutions in the world. We must amplify their voices and advocate for the respectful repatriation of these sacred remains. 🤝🕊️

Good morning. I'm thinking of you. You who have been hurt, you who are lost, you who are missing someone and you who have survived losing someone you love. Make change, protect women and girls.

MMIW stands for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women. It’s a movement that advocates for the end of violence against Native women. It also seeks to draw attention to the high rates of disappearances and murders of Native people, particularly women and girls that go unnoticed.

The MMIW movement exists because a large number of Native women go missing and are murdered each year compared to women from other groups.
Across the U.S. and Canada, Native women are two and a half times more likely to experience violent crimes and at least two times more likely to experience r**e or s*xual assault crimes in comparison to all other ethnicities.

About 4 out of 5 Native women have experienced violence
Native women were about twice as likely than white women to experience violence
Native women face murder rates 10 times the national average
The murder rate for Native women is about 3 times more than that of white women.

A red hand over the mouth has become the symbol of this growing movement. It stands for all the missing sisters whose voices are not heard. It stands for the silence of the media and law enforcement in the midst of this crisis. It stands for the oppression and subjugation of Native women who are now rising up to say no more.
