Meet Darren L Moore NBC-HWC, CPT!
Darren received his health coach training at Wellcoaches and became a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) in 2022. Darren owns Between The Ears and focuses on empowering middle aged men and women to win the battle against fad diet culture and pre-diabetes.
We asked Darren what lead him to health coaching and here is what he told us:
I became a health coach because we spend more on health care per capita than any other advanced country yet have the worst outcomes. Fad diet culture, which prays on people's helplessness and despair, is creating a population focused on quick fixes rather than adopting sustainable, long-term lifestyle changes.
I became board certified because it represents the pinnacle of certification in health coaching. This means when clients choose my services they are partnering with someone who is committed to upholding the highest professional standards. I help them set realistic goals within their unique situation and provide education, recommendations, and accountability. My favorite part about being a health coach is helping people shift their focus from outcome goals like weight loss, to process goals which when done consistently will give them the outcomes they desire.
