Our founder helped coach with Paralympic teammates , and the . All together we had over 30 adaptive athletes join the to teach and expand the game of wheelchair basketball.

A spinal cord injury (SCI) is damage to the spinal cord or spinal nerve roots within the spinal canal, causing temporary or permanent loss of movement and/or feeling. A complete SCI is when there is a complete loss of sensation and motor function below the level of injury. An incomplete SCI is when there is still some sensation or motor function below the level of injury.

We are heartbroken to hear about what happened to Asa Luo, an 8-year-old boy paralyzed from the neck down after being hit by a stray bullet on the 580 Interstate in Oakland. Our hearts are with Asa and his family as they navigate through this difficult time. As a community, we will continue to fight to end senseless gun violence so that this tragedy does not happen to anyone else.
