I recently met this beautiful woman through my photography business. Just 2 weeks ago now, we spent spent several hours together at a photo event I hosted I called, “The Queen Sessions”. There, we celebrated her and her 30th birthday, talked about her life, her pain, her newfound confidence, and her dreams for the years ahead of her. She left that day smiling from ear to ear telling me “I feel like a Queen…” We had been chatting ever since.

Corina was scheduled with me to do photos this past Sunday evening with her and her beautiful boys. I spoke to her Saturday and then spent most of the day Sunday attempting to get ahold of her and waiting for her at our agreed upon location….
I became worried when I was unable to get ahold of her. Not sure what to do, I waited about an hour and a half and sent a couple more texts insuring her I just wanted to know she was safe. I went to bed worried.

I woke up Monday morning to find out she had passed away. I do not have words to describe the ache in my heart over this loss. She left behind two beautiful boys who also just lost their father to cancer a year ago.

Corina and I became friends over Instagram messaging. There, she shared her story, her struggles, her fears, her insecurities, and all the things shes overcome.

Life is short and precious.

Corina, it was a pleasure to meet you, photograph you, and hear your story. 👑
