This spectacular display of the macabre will take place on 10/11 at 7:30 sharp and will be followed by an arrangement by the very talented Second Shift Band !
In order to gain access to this exclusive event, one must procure a very special key in person only, at the Root Cellar Cafe. Space is limited so move with haste.

Amy's favorite dish on the menu is the Hill Country Breakfast.
Featuring biscuits topped with your choice of either bacon or sausage, an egg cooked your way, and then smothered in jalapeno gravy. Served with a side of fruit, or home style potatoes.

Know your Roots, Meet Chef Pax.

Chef Pax is one of our kitchen managers.
When he's not totally crushing it in the kitchen coming up with super delicious and inventive new things to cook for you all, he is a super funny writer, and makes really cool music.

Pax says "My favorite thing to cook is the Ribeye steak, because when the restaurant gets really busy everyone tends to order it. So, I work really hard to get them all out to people, and then when I'm finished I like to take a little break and poke my head out onto the floor to see the customers enjoying the food I cooked. It makes it all worth it."

Well, Chef Pax, thanks for everything you add to The Root Cellar Cafe.

Downtown San Marcos hosted its 10th Annual Love Downtown Awards last night and Root Cellar Cafe was honored as a Downtown Legend! It’s been 19 years since we opened our doors with garage sale furniture, a new coat of paint, and $300 in our bank account. We’ve come such a long way and are forever grateful to the hard-working, talented folks who got us here. Thank you San Marcos!
