🥟 DUMPLING DIPPING SAUCE🥟

Dumplings are my favourite comfort food. A big plate of warm steamy goodness with a delicious garlicky tangy dipping sauce is all i need.

Take any of your favourite dumplings . I made my own(let me know if you need a recipe) but my go-to are dumplings at the frozen aisle. Just boil or steam them and pour the Dumpling sauce on it.
This sauce is so delicious i always have some extra in my fridge for noodles or eggs or anything!

RECIPE :
3 tbsp soy sauce
1/4 cup water or dumpling broth (if boiling dumplings)
1/2 tbsp chilly oil or chili garlic sauce
1 tbsp gochujang
1 tsp sugar, adjust to desired sweetness
2 tsp rice vinegar
2 tsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp sesame seeds
1 tsp minced garlic
Fresh scallions and cilantro.

Mix all these ingredients. Taste to adjust the quantities. Cook your dumplings and pour over this delicious sauce on it and ENJOY!! 😃🥟

This year’s Eid plans were super spontaneous. Went to Pakistan for 1.5 months which ended up into a 5 month trip! Oh what a bliss it was😍

We often wander around the Downtown B Street, basically the “Food Street” of San Mateo. We turned the corner and ran into a small restaurant. Walk too fast and you will miss it. We are glad we didn’t!! 🎉🎉
The unique Indo Nepali menu caught our eye. Those delicious plates of freshly steamed Momo (Dumplings) and a huge variety of Indo Chinese deliciousness!🍜🥟. Whats more, they offer a Halal menu so more options for everyone!🎉

Everything was super fresh and delicious. The Momos were beautifully wrapped and plump and oh so good!!The Lamb Tikka was so tender with a perfect amount of Char. The Gobi Manchurian (cauliflower) was so crunchy with a delicious sauce that really hits the spot! 👌🏻

We had our fill of Momos and then some. We will definilty go back and try more things on their menu.

🥮🍗 CHICKEN KACHORI 🍗🥮

What is your favourite Ramadan snack?

Mine are those delicious flakey Kachori from back home !! Every Ramadan my dad would get us those Jamil sweets ki Kachori and we would count minutes to the Iftar! Aah good old days!!!
I tried my hand in making those and my God! They came out so so delicious and i had to share it with you all!!! Let’s make them!!😃😃

RECIPE:
Take 300 gm AP Flour. Add to it 4 tbspn Ghee, salt to taste and 1/2 tspn of Carom seeds (Ajwain). Knead the dough with cold water and set aside. Make your favourite filling! I made with mince chicken using my fav onions! Make a thick spreadable paste of corn flour and ghee and set aside.Make small balls with the dough. Flat them out (like a super thin chapati)spread the flour paste on it. Fold the flat dough into a square and set it aside for 5 mins. Make all the squares with your dough ball. Now again flat the square a little and add your filling to it. Seal it like a small pouch (potli) and fry on medium heat. It will take around 8-9 mins to fry!

Well I do!! 😄 Since I started working full time I am always on a look out for quick, easy and delicious dinner ideas and this TAWA CHICKEN is definitely it! You can have it with Naan,chapatti,Paratha or just as it is.☺️🍗😍

🍰 BURNT BASQUE CHEESECAKE 🍰

Are you a Cheesecake lover like me??

Today I am sharing one of my favorite desserts - Burnt Basque Cheesecake! It is a cheesecake totally opposite to a traditional cheesecake, with no separate crust and is baked at a very high temperature and totally foolproof 😁
It has a delicious caramel flavor with a hint of pudding and a creamy smooth texture!

INGREDIENTS:
- 430gm Cream cheese
- 120 gm Caster Sugar
- 3 large eggs (room temp)
- 270gm cream
- 1 tspn Vanilla
- 1tspn Lemon Juice

🫑🥩SEEKH KEBAB FRY🫑🥩

Want something super delicious and that too under 30 minutes!?! I got you covered!!
This Seekh kebab fry is my mom’s recipe and one of our family favorites! It is so delicious and quick with minimum prep time.
It uses a handful ingredients including Store bought frozen Seekh kebabs. I used Lamb Seekh kebabs.
Lets make it together!

Take 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan and add 1 large sliced onion and sauté for 2 mins. Add to it julienned ginger and fry. Now Add 2 sliced tomatoes without seeds. Salt, red chill powder, black pepper,cumin, all-spice and coriander powder and mix well. Add your frozen seekh kebabs (i cut them in half), Julienned Capsicum ( i used green and red), 2-4 drops of lemon juice. Give a stir and put it on Damm for 5-10 mins. After 10 mins add to it potato wedges ( i use frozen fries/wedges) mix so the thick sauce coats the the fries. Dish it out and serve with your fav bread. I serve it with parathas and naans!

🍫🍫KETO CHOCOLATE MOUSSE🍫🍫

Chocolate is a delicious cure for a bad day.. And I totally agree! And this Chocolate mousse is so delicious, easy and decadent that it hits the spot just right!

What is your favorite Chocolate dessert❓❓

Lets make this guilt free delicious KETO CHOCOLATE MOUSSE. It comes together in 5 mins and uses just a few things!

Whip 1 cup of whipping cream until soft peaks. Add to it 1/3 cup of melted chocolate. I used dark chocolate. It is so delicious and Keto friendly (you can use any chocolate you want or even good quality cocoa powder)1 tablespoon keto sweetener or sugar, pinch of salt, 1/2 tspn of Vanilla essence and to add that decadence and richness i added 1 heaping tablespoon of cream cheese (it is optional but i love it) Now whisk it all up until stiff peaks . Pour it in a serving bowl and chill for 15 mins!

Keto or no Keto..this is my fav guilt free dessert and it is DELICIOUS😍

🌀🌀JALEBI 🌀🌀

Jalebi is a desi version of a funnel cake. Crispy, sweet and delicious😍 What is your favorite Eid Meetha??
Jalebi comes on my top 5 favorite desserts list !😁😁 so when my dearest friend Amina asked me to share my meetha for the Eid for her collaboration co-hosted by ,I had to make jalebi.
They are so easy to make and all the ingredients are readily available in our pantries.😁
INGREDIENTS:
🌀 JALEBI:
• Flour - 1 cup
• Corn Flour - 4 tbspn
• Baking Soda - 1/4 tspn
• Food color - 1/4 tspn
• Yogurt - 4 tablspn
• Water - 150 ml

🌀 SUGAR SYRUP:
• Sugar : 3 cups
• Water : 1 1/2 cups
• Lemon Juice : 2 tspn
• Cardamom : 6-7

🌮🍤 KETO CAJUN SHRIMP TACO🍤🌮

Every day can be a TACO TUESDAY!! You just have to believe!!😀

Tacos are easy to make with endless possibilities and oh so delicious!

Recently I came to know about and how they can be used to make hard shelled tacos! So i just their Cheddar Cheese wraps for my taco shells and did a delicious Cajun shrimp filling!😍
When Sarah approached me for her amazing I knew I had to share this recipe!

RECIPE:
In a bowl add your shrimp, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, some Cajun spice. I used ‘s Cajun seasoning( if you don’t have it you can make your own spice blend) and mix . In a non-stick pan add your shrimp and cook for 2-3 mins.

Take your and make a hard taco shell as per instructions on the packaging. Add all your taco fixings. Shredded lettuce, peppers, sour cream and those delicious shrimp!

Serve with a side of guacamole and lime and enjoy!!!

🥧 CHICKEN SPINACH MUSHROOM QUICHE🥧

Do you like pies?? Savoury or sweet???

Quiche is basically a Pie crust with a bunch of ingredients lying around!You can use any fillings you want. I will share my version with you!

Let’s make this recipe and I hope you enjoy it and save it and share it with your friends.

For this recipe you can use store bought pie /quiche shell or your favourite pie crust recipe. The filling doesn’t have specific measurements. Depends on the size and depth of your pie crust!

INGREDIENTS FOR THE FILLING:
• 1/2 cup boneless chicken cut into small pieces
• 3-4 mushrooms cut (I used fresh mushrooms)
• 1 cup of chopped spinach
• 1/3 cup of chopped onion
• 1-2 tblspn soy or oyster sauce
• 1/3 cup or 6-7 tbslpn shredded cheese (I used cheddar and gruyere cheese. You can use whatever)
• dried herbs, salt, pepper, paprika.
• 2 eggs beaten
• 1/2 cup whole milk
• 1/2 cup cream
Before starting the filling. Bake your pie shell according to the directions and let it cool on the side.
In a sauce pan, sauté onions and mushrooms. When onions are translucent add chicken and fry for 2-3 mins. Add salt, pepper, 1/2 teaspn of paprika and mix. Add in your spinach and cook. When the spinach is wilting add in your soy sauce or oyster sauce. This gives a really good flavor. Sprinkle some mixed herbs and mix. Keep the filling aside. Now beat 2 eggs and add to it milk and cream along with some salt, pepper and some herbs.
Take the cooled pie tart and sprinkle half your cheese on it. Now add the chicken mushroom filling in it and the egg milk custard. Sprinkle on the rest of the cheese and bake it for 20-25 mins in a pre-heated oven of 180C/ 350F or until the center is cooked.

Take it our and enjoy with your friends and family!

🥗🧀 KETO KATORI CHAAT🧀🥗

Are you a Chaat person?? What is your fav Chaat?? What if I tell you that I have a perfect chaat recipe that is not only super delicious BUT Keto friendly too!😍 (Please save this post so have a delicious recipe already there for you)😬

✨ What is a Chaat?? Chaat is a roadside savoury snack originated from Sub-continent. It is a celebration of flavours in your mouth!!

I used these amazing to make the Katori (bowl) and the Papadi (papadam) and spiced it with the delicious Chaat masala from

I used Paneer instead of Chickpea or Potatoes in it and it was delicious😍

LETS MAKE IT:
Make a katori and papadi using and set aside to cool down( the directions are on the packaging) Marinate some bite sized Paneer with some Chaat masala and fry in tiny bit of keto friendly oil. For Chaat fix ins I had Green capsicum, chopped tomato, chopped onions, green chilli, cilantro, some beaten greek yogurt with little bit of red chilli and cumin. Layer it up as you want and enjoy!!!

🍗🍞CHICKEN BREAD 🍞🍗

Almost everyone from a desi house hold is familiar with Chicken Bread! This being one of the favorite tea-time snacks..almost everyone has their own version.
☕️ What is your favourite tea-time snack??

I made this bread by using my favorite pizza dough from and whatever vegetables were in my refrigerator. It saved me soo much time and was super delicious!!
RECIPE:
☕️ FILLING: In a pan sauté some chopped onion and 1/2 tspn of ginger garlic paste with some butter. Add in some boiled shredded chicken and fry for a minute. Add some bell pepper. (I used red,yellow ,green cut in long Julian strips) Now add some mushrooms (i used fresh mushrooms..you can use whatever is available). When the veggies are slightly cooked add 2 tblspns of AP flour in the same pan and mix quickly. It will all come together. Add to it 1/4 cup of milk to loosen it a little. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, some soy sauce and i also added some hot sauce too. Let the mixture cool down a little. Take your fav dough (store bought or home made..you can also use puff pastry!) Roll out the dough to 1/2 inch thickness..place the filling in the centre. Add slits to the sides a few cm apart and criss cross braid it. Put some egg wash and sprinkle with any sesame seeds or herbs or nothing ( i added everything bagel seasoning) Bake in a preheated oven at 180 C for 20-30 mins.

TIP : When the bread is out of the oven piping hot..brush some butter on it and cover it with a clean kitchen towel for 5 mins. It will make it super soft with a beautiful golden brown color.

This post is totally different to my regular ones , but the guy right beside me deserves one!
Today marks the 4th year of this bliss. We have seen sooo many ups and downs together ( and when i say sooo many..trust me on that) but Alhumdullilah we always rose above those.
Raheel and I met through our parents and that too after we got engaged🙈😃 YES..we never met or talked before that..! But in him I found my best friend, my confidant , my support system and every good thing that was missing in my life❤️ Alhumdullilah for everything 🧿🧿
So heres to us and this handsome always standing with me! 🧿❤️😘

🍦🍓FROZEN YOGURT BARK 🍓🍦

Who doesn’t love desserts?? And what if those desserts are dun to make, delicious and healthy???!!!
Well I do🙋🏻‍♀️😄 So when Faiza of asked me to share a recipe for a healthy dessert.. I went with these delicious Frozen Yogurt Barks which use just a couple of ingredients and are soo delicious and refreshing!😍 Also making this recipe can be a fun activity with your kids!

So let’s make it!!

RECIPE:
Take a cup of Greek Yogurt of any of your choice. I used my favourite Vanilla flavour. You can use any flavour and you can flavour it yourself at home! Just line a dish with aluminium or butter paper. Spread yogurt uniformly. Now add whatever healthy toppings you want. I went with strawberries, granola and some dark chocolate chips and a drizzle of honey! Now place it in a freezer for 3-4 hours! When it is set, take it out...break or cut into bars or barks and enjoy!!

TIP: They do melt just like your fav ice cream bars. But they stay well in the freezer in a freezer baggy. This way you have your delicious and healthy snack with you all the time!

You can use any toppings. Banana and chocolate would go very well. Blueberries too😍 The possibilities are endless😍

🫕 HUMMUS 🫕

“Hummus is chickpeas that believed in miracles - “

And I truly believe it!!😃 This little chickpea is instantly turned into a creamy luscious and delicious dip which is always the life of a party!😍🎉
The very sweet Samina of invited me to make a dip for her series she is hosting and I knew what I wanted to make!

Hummus is a Middle Eastern dip and is eaten all over the world! It is typically eaten with a pita bread but there are so many ways you can eat it . As a dip, as a spread in a sandwich or wrap or in a salad as a dressing!
So let’s make it!

RECIPE:
I took 15 oz of chickpea can and drained the liquid and rinsed them well. Put them in a blender. Add to it 3-4 tablespoons of Tahini paste (it is easily available everywhere. I use ‘s Tahini paste. ) Add to the chickpeas 1 clove of crushed garlic, pinch of salt and 2-3 tablespoon of good olive oil and blend it well. Open the blender, mix the hummus around and now add to it 2-3 ice cubes!! Yes ice cubes..this will make it super creamy and smooth.
Dish the hummus out pour some olive oil on it and serve it with pita bread or veggies or whatever the heart desires! 🥰😋

🥧🍗 CHICKEN POT PIE 🍗🥧

Creamy chicken filling with delicious vegetables with some flakey pastry... sounds like a dream in this cold weather 😍😍

Chicken pot pie for me is ultimate comfort food and it comes together so quickly and oh so good!
I had left over rotisserie chicken, some frozen veggies and puff pastry, so i knew what I wanted to make. So let’s make it!!!
RECIPE:
Cut your rotisserie chicken into rough pieces. (If you don’t have rotisserie chicken just get some boneless chicken cooked with salt,pepper,soy sauce and pinch of red chilli) In a heavy bottom sauce pan put some butter and a small chopped onion and a clove of garlic and sauté. Now add 2-3 tablespoon of AP flour and mix well. Now add to it 1 1/2 cup of chicken stock and mix well. Add to it some black pepper, tiny bit of salt (my chicken stock had salt in it), sprinkle of dried Italian herbs, 1 tbspn of Worcestershire sauce and 1 tspn of mustard (you can omit these but i think they give the pie filling depth). Now add your frozen veggies ( i had a bag of carrots,pea and mushrooms)and cook for 2 mins. Mix it all well and add 3/4 cup of heavy cream and cook on low heat for 2 mins more so that the sauce is creamy and all together.

Put your filling in an oven safe dish. Roll out your puff pastry. I use and place it on top of your pie filling carefully (in my case i made a lattice to make it look pretty😃) brush your puff pastry with egg wash and bake it for 180C for 20-30 mins or until the pastry is nice golden brown😍
This recipe is super delicious and a crowd pleaser! I know this because back when I was following my dream of having a food business.. this pot pie would be sold out everyday😍
