Join us in congratulating our assistant track and field coach, Jason Smith, on his impressive eighth-place finish in the long jump at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon! With a jump of 7.87 meters (25 feet, 10 inches), Jason continues his quest for the Olympics and aims to improve his ranking in upcoming European meets.

The ceremony was more than just a celebration; it was a powerful testament to the purpose and significance of Lavender Graduations. We shared inspiring stories of our students' accomplishments and set ambitious goals for the upcoming school year, fueling a spirit of success and inclusivity.
Our talented performer, SirJoq, captivated us with his energy and passion, adding a vibrant touch to the festivities.

We are thrilled to announce that CSM alumna Nicole Adler will serve as a Grand Marshal in this year's San Francisco Pride Parade!
Nicole earned a Certificate in Communications from CSM in 2020 and has since become a prominent speaker, host, and human rights advocate for developmental disabilities and LGBTQAI+ communities.
Since 2014, Nicole has been a governor-appointed member of the State Council on Developmental Disabilities, a board member for The Next Step Program, and recently served on the advisory committee for California’s Disability Thrive Initiative. Her work includes partnering with the California Department of Public Health to announce COVID-19 vaccines and co-hosting The Arc of California’s statewide Public Policy Conference.
Nicole is a passionate advocate for inclusion, acceptance, equal rights, mental health, voting accessibility, disability representation in the media, housing rights, and ending the R-word.

CSM is hiring peer mentors for the Asian Pacific American Cultures and Community program. As a peer mentor, you’ll assist with outreach, support campus events, and connect students to resources. Ideal candidates will be sensitive to the challenges faced by AAPI students and help create a supportive community.
Responsibilities:
•Serve as a role model and connect students to resources
•Inform students about APACC events and activities
•Plan and lead outreach activities, workshops, and tabling
•Assist with hosting events and social media documentation
•Represent CSM at conferences
•Meet individually with students needing support
Availability Requirements:
•Weekly meetings with supervisors and peer educators
•Two summer online trainings (dates TBD)
