**BUY DIRECT OR SHOP LOCALLY OWNED**

Hey there fellow stationery and small biz supporters. A quick (long) note. If you love stationery and Paper Source is one of your fave places to purchase please reconsider and go to local small shops or buy directly from your favorite artist.

Paper Source recently filed chapter 11 after ordering hundreds of thousands of dollars from I believe 250 small vendors. None of them got paid. Many have several outstanding invoices with little to no hope of payment.

The pandemic has been hard on everyone in so many ways. For these small businesses that survived 2020, getting these large orders in 2021 (some totaling half or more of their total 2020 orders with PS) obviously felt hopeful. They paid their employees, bought the raw goods and churned out these massive orders in a very short turn around time. And now this.

In short please don’t buy their gorgeous, creative, products from PS, they unfortunately won’t see a penny.

BUY DIRECT OR SHOP LOCALLY OWNED.

This is my latest work. Five passes through the press (four letterpress one foil) plus one pass for the back (not pictured). Times are bad for the world. I’m struggling with the hate, the injustices, the lack of equality. I’m working on acknowledging the good in the world to build a foundation for abundance. Donating today, reaching out to folks and looking to dig in. My heart breaks and I love you all. If I can do anything for anyone during these times. Hit. Me. Up. We need to prop each other up.

Not enough to make individual batches of wine but we’re gonna try our hand at a “field blend” 😂😂😂 in other news the plum wine is delicious.

From my friend Camille: It’s not often that I ask of my family/friends for anything, but when something is on my heart I feel compelled to. John Smith III is a remarkable young man. He attended our Caribbean Classic last summer in DR. He was awarded the MVP award for his age division. John traveled there alone with his mother, Catice. Catice is a very warm and lovely woman. She looked pained and very quiet at times. I realized why shortly into our trip. Her husband John Sr had tragically passed away in 2016. Catice is raising her 3 children alone now. Recently, due to Covid she lost her job which she has had for 20 years. Her son John started a Go Fund Me on his own to help his mother. I cried. I didn’t even know she had lost her job as she didn’t speak of it on social media or anything.

She did NOT ask for help. Her son did. Ali and I have donated and I am hoping you will too. Anything will help. The Go Fund Me link is in my bio. John just posted it I think yesterday. Thank you in advance if you are inclined to help. If you cannot help at this time, I ask that you pray that Catice can find another job and also to keep their family’s spirits high. The kids of course are having a very hard time with the loss of their father. We need to uplift these children. Especially two being young African American men. Thank you all. ❤️💜. LINK IN BIO.

First and second attempt at sourdough bread. Was far more aggressive with the cuts on the second and it looks way better.

Wow.

Thrift Store Wood Engraving Print Turns Out To Be Salvador Dalí Artwork "I needed to ... take it out of the frame, which was old and dusty, to take a closer look because it is very rare to find something like this at a thrift store," said art expert Melanie Smith.
