Here’s the reality: the Tiger outclasses the Lion in size and strength. It’s THE apex predator, capable of swimming while the Lion can only dream about it. But don’t be fooled by its specs. The Lion, despite being smaller, has a relentless drive. It has GRIT. It will come at you, again and again, with a ferocity the Tiger doesn't possess. The Tiger might be the heavyweight champ, but it’s not as relentless in seeking out a fight as the Lion.
The moral of the story is: strength is impressive, but relentless determination and grit is what defines a warrior.

Throwback to my days as a bodybuilder in New York! 🌟💪
Living in New York, I didn’t allow the inclement weather slow me down. I dominated both indoor and seasonal activities, always pushing my limits. Aside from bodybuilding, I’ve been through it all: gymnastics, baseball, basketball, breakdancing, snowboarding, jiujitsu, motorcycle racing and more.
But as a bodybuilder I’ve learned that it’s not about how much muscle you have, it’s about what you can do with it. It wasn’t too long after realizing this that I then transformed my training from just building size to building raw, functional strength and unmatched athletic ability.
Years later I moved to sunny California, where I can now racing electric unicycles. 🛞💨💨. I may be older, but I move like I’m still in my twenties. Why? Because staying active has always been non-negotiable. It’s my key to living a life of mobility and youth.
The grind, the hustle, the relentless pursuit of fitness – that’s what keeps me alive. Exercise isn’t just something I do, it’s who I am. My exposure to such an array of sports has blessed me with a wealth of experience and knowledge about exercise and the science behind dieting, which I’m excited to share with others.

Medicine Ball Squat to Overhead Swing
This dynamic exercise combines the benefits of a squat with an overhead medicine ball swing, targeting multiple muscle groups and enhancing core stability. Here’s how it’s done:
Starting Position: Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a 6 lb medicine ball overhead with arms fully extended.
Movement: Quickly squat down while simultaneously swinging the medicine ball forward and down, keeping your arms straight. Your arms should move from vertical to parallel to the ground as you reach the bottom of the squat. Do not swing the ball down past your knees.
Return to Start: Stand back up, bringing the medicine ball back overhead to the starting position. The stronger your core, the faster you go therefore execute this movement as fast as YOU can.
Core Engagement: Ensure your abdominals are engaged throughout the movement to maintain balance and control.
Why It’s Effective: This exercise engages the lower body, shoulders, and core, providing a full-body workout. The dynamic movement of the medicine ball requires increased abdominal activation to stabilize your body, making it an excellent core-strengthening exercise.
Pairing Recommendation: For an even more effective core workout, pair this exercise with the ab roll. The ab roll targets the entire core, especially the lower abdominals, and complements the dynamic movement of the medicine ball squat to overhead swing.

Ab Roll - 3 sets of 10-12 reps

Reflecting on my early days in the fitness business, I’m reminded of some solid advice I got from a mentor back then from a man named John Wilton. John Wilton was the Vice President of Sales for Jack LaLanne Fitness Clubs. He said, ‘Don’t be so damn uptight. Smile, have fun.’ And you know what? He was absolutely right.
I’m fortunate to work in a high-energy environment, surrounded by music pumping, people hustling, and goals being crushed left and right. It’s electric, and I/we should feed off that energy.
