Not sure why my last post didn't include my written text, but what it should have said: Lake Street Dive, at the Levitate Music Festival (Marshfield, Mass.), performed one of the best sets I've seen from a band in YEARS! Lead singer Rachel Price is just fantastic, as are the band musicians, and the songwriting on their new album is wonderful.
To my vocal students, their parents, my performing peers and contacts: I was hacked on Facebook over a year ago, and unable to log into this page. I just got back into it., so apologies that it hasn't been updated in such a long time. But rest assured I'm still alive and well, and feel free to contact me here or, better yet, just via email: [email protected]

See our orchestra and chorus, joined by resplendent solosits Golda Schultz (soprano) and Michelle DeYoung (mezzo-soprano) for one of just 3 performances: Thursday, September 29 (7:30pm); Saturday, October 1 (7:30pm); or Sunday, October 3 (2pm) in Davies Symphony Hall:

"Mahler 2 is the epitome of all Western music. Mahler suffered the most tragic personal affronts, with the deaths of his children and the facing of his own mortality at a young age, and nevertheless wrote music that soared triumphantly to laugh in the face of death and discouragement, to exalt in the power of life."
