We love a good sensory test and take it seriously at KitchenTown. There were new food companies cropping up left and right, and they were focused on making products that were healthier for humans and kinder to the planet. There was no infrastructure for food startups at the time. I saw the need for an innovation center and ran with it: a scale-up facility where entrepreneurs can start their businesses and surround themselves with a community of like-minded people. Personally, I loved the idea of a startup of startups. What could be better than that?" —Rusty Schwartz, founder.

A flaxseed is not a flaxseed is not a flaxseed. (Is that how the saying goes??) But really - research shows that eating stone ground flax allows us to absorb way more Omega-3s (and other good stuff) than when eaten whole or as oil. That's great for heart and brain health, skin, reducing inflammation, and all sorts of other outcomes.

Which is why we think you should really try as soon as you can. We get to watch them mill the seeds at KitchenTown every day and it's just all so fresh and fun. (They even brought the stone mills over from the Caspian region, where they're traditional! You won't find that anywhere else unless you travel very far.) Link in their bio!
