Today, my heart is enveloped in a profound sadness as I share the news of my godfather Louis Gossett Jr.’s passing. This morning, the world became a bit dimmer without his luminous presence. Louis lived a life that was a testament to finding joy amidst adversity, teaching me invaluable lessons about happiness, resilience, and the power of laughter. The memories of our shared experiences, from volunteering together, enjoying meals with friends and colleagues, to cheering on the Lakers, are treasures I will hold close to my heart forever.
