Recently the members of Sandy Springs Benevolent Fund were able to meet with the representatives of the Shepherd Center to present a $10,000 donation. We are so thankful that we are able to continue to help and nurture our relationship with them.

The Shepherd Center assists with the recovery of public safety personnel from all over the country. We are so grateful for their dedication and support to the law enforcement community.

We are thrilled to announce our 10th Annual Sandy Springs Benevolent Fund Charity Golf Classic at the Dunwoody Country Club.

Today we met with Jon Roxland from the Shepherd Center and presented him a donation from the Sandy Springs Police Benevolent Fund. The Shepherd Center specializing in medical treatment, research and rehabilitation for people with spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, spine and chronic pain, and other neuromuscular conditions. The have provided care to many members of public safety from across the nation. We are extremely grateful for their dedication.

The Sandy Springs Police Benevolent Fund was honored to receive a generous donation in memory of retired Sgt. Gene McLeod. Sergeant McLeod fought a courageous battle with cancer.

Sgt. McLeod served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Dekalb Motor Brigade, Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, and retired with the Sandy Springs Police Department.

Sergeant McLeod was sent home with full honors from the Sandy Springs Police Department’s Honor Guard.

Sergeant McLeod will never be forgotten and will always be honored.
