SANFORD ELKS is very thankful for the hard work and dedication of our veterans chairman Donald Soderblom.
His continuous efforts allow us to serve veterans in a great way!

Sanford Elks Lodge 1241's Veterans Services Chair, Donald Soderblom, visited the Alwyn C. Cashe State Veterans' Nursing Home and provided various leather kits to residents. The kits were provided by the Elks National Veterans Service Commission's veterans leather program.

Sanford Elks is pleased to team with Orlandeaux Paranormal to conduct an investigation of our historic building. Many people have had paranormal experiences in the building throughout the years. Join us as we see if we can find some answers as to the cause of the activity. This event will be conducted as a true paranormal investigation complete with ghost hunting
equipment. This is not a theatrical "scary or haunted" house. You are welcome to bring your own ghost hunting equipment if you wish. ARRIVE BY 6:45PM!

Announcing the new Hoop Shoot Regional Director team of Region 12: Jeff and Cristin Rumler!

When Jeff and Cristin were first introduced to the Hoop Shoot in 2014, it was love at first sight. After just two weeks involved with the program, Jeff was promoted to Florida State Director. Since then, he and Cristin have continued to assist the program in numerous ways.

REG 12 HOOP SHOOT

Sanford Elks Lodge 1241 has partnered with the HUD-VASH at Lake Baldwin VA to assist veterans transitioning to permanent housing. Since April 26, the lodge has donated 13 Elks National Veterans Service Commission Welcome Home Kits to these veterans, which include some household necessities.

What a night! Our first Spaghetti Dinner & Dessert Auction was so much fun! Our dessert auction alone raised more than $1,000 for our Veterans programs. Thank you to all those who cooked, prepared a dessert, attended, & supported to kickoff the fundraising for our Swing 4 Veterans Golf Tournament happening October 5th! In honor of we’ll do a to highlight the best Family Fun Day & Back to School Supply Drive event we’ve had to date. With the help of the Elks National Foundation & our many volunteers we were able to supply over 300 backpacks pre-filled with a complete elementary school supply list.
Thank you to the members and volunteers of Sanford Elks that gave countless hours of themselves to make this day amazing and a special shout out to Sanford Police Department, Seminole County Sheriff's Office, & Florida Elks Children's Therapy Services for bringing extra fun and excitement! In total we served over 500 people and it truly was an honor!

From 11am - 2pm we will be giving away 300 backpacks filled with complete elementary school supply list!
We also have visitors from Florida Elks Children's Therapy Services, Sanford Police Department, & Seminole County Sheriff's Office

A Celebration of Joe's life will be held at the Sanford Elks Lodge on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 1:00PM.

Tonight! Join us for our Fill the Backpack extravaganza & some delicious BBQ pulled pork sandwiches prepared by the Carvers! We will be packing 312 backpacks full of school supplies, purchased with grants from Elks National Foundation, in preparation for our Family Fun Day event this Saturday.
Fill the Backpack starts promptly at 6:30pm and Carver’s BBQ will be available 6:30 - 8:30pm.

It’s almost scholarship season! Applications for the Most Valuable Student Scholarship open on August 1.

If you know any incoming high school seniors, encourage them to apply! No relation to the Elks is necessary to win one of these scholarships, which range from $1,000 to $7,500 per year.

APPLICATION PERIOD OPENS AUGUST 1ST

The mission of the Florida State Elks Association C. Valentine Bates Memorial HOPE Scholarship is to provide financial support for the educational needs of Florida high school seniors without which they would not be able to achieve their educational goals.
The scholarship targets students who have a 2.30 - 3.59 unweighted GPA. These students have demonstrated leadership through participation in school activities, community service, and citizenship. Consideration is given to those students who have shouldered extra responsibility such as working throughout their high school careers to help provide support of siblings or family.

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the passing of our friend and brother, Joe B. Rogers.
Big Joe was a friend to us all and served the Order of Elks and Sanford Lodge for 40 years.
Simple words cannot describe the impact he made in the lives of others through his dedication and service. He will certainly be missed by all who knew him.
Our condolences are with Joe's son, Joey, and his family.
We will notify everyone once arrangements have been made.

Sanford’s Minor Member, Collin Carver attended his first Vice President’s visit in our district, to Palm Coast Lodge 2709.
Collin received a formal introduction and a warm welcome from the East Central District. Join us in congratulating Collin on Exemplifying Elkdom for we do nothing more important than teaching our kids to take our place. Way to go Collin. Your Lodge loves ya!

Tonight we celebrated and honored Mothers. Our officers did an amazing job at our Mother’s Day Ceremony and we appreciate everyone that attended and especially our volunteers who cooked an incredible meal.

We hope all the Mom’s have a relaxing weekend & know that you are loved and cherished!

We had every occasion covered at our Cinco De Derby party this year! Thank you to everyone that attended to make this the best year yet. The decorations were perfect, food was amazing, but the company was the best part. We love our Sanford 1241 family and our friends from Winter Park! Thank you for another great year!
