ISCF Masjid Al Salaam

“𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝, 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐥”
After a long torment for the people of Hell, in Hell (Allah forbid) we do not know its duration...
The people of Hell will ask for “four wishes.” What are they?

"𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐡"
They will ask from Allah Almighty:
"رَبَّنَا أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْهَا فَإِنْ عُدْنَا فَإِنَّا ظَالِمُونَ"
“Our Lord! Take us out of this ˹Fire˺. Then if we ever return ˹to denial˺, we will truly be wrongdoers.”

They want to get out of hell!! So, Allah will answer them:
"قَالَ اخْسَئُوا فِيهَا وَلَا تُكَلِّمُونِ"
Allah will respond, “Be despised in there! Do not ˹ever˺ plead with Me again!

After this wish, they will despair of (the mercy of Allah) after they despaired and knew that there is no way out of it…!! They will ask for a second wish.!!

“𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐡”
From who? From “Malik” the housekeeper of fire:
"وَنَادَوْا يَا مَالِكُ لِيَقْضِ عَلَيْنَا رَبُّكَ"
They will cry, “O Mâlik!1 Let your Lord finish us off.”
They ask Malik, the Storer of Fire, to intercede for them with Allah...so that they may die...!!! They will want to die to be relieved from the torment!!

Malik will reply:
"قَالَ إِنَّكُم مَّاكِثُونَ"
He will answer, “You are definitely here to stay.”
After that, they will make their third wish to the treasury of fire (the angels).

“𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐡”
"وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ فِي النَّار لِخَزَنَةِ جَهَنَّم اُدْعُوَا رَبّكُمْ يُخَفِّف عَنَّا يَوْمًا مِنْ الْعَذَاب"
And those in the Fire will cry out to the keepers of Hell, “Pray to your Lord to lighten the torment for us ˹even˺ for one day!”
A strange, chilling wish.
They want to rest for one day... just one day, from the torment.

Then the response comes from the angels who are the keepers of Hell:
"أولم تك تأتيكم رسلكم بالبينات"
“Did your messengers not ˹constantly˺ come to you with clear proofs?”
They will say:
"قالوا بلى"
Yes, they did!
The angels will say:
"فادعوا وما دعاء الكافرين إلا في ضلال"
“Then pray! Though the prayer of the disbelievers is only in vain.”

Then they will ask for their fourth wish, from whom do they ask for it...!!? From the companions of Paradise..!! And what a simple wish it is…

“𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐡”
"وَنَادَىٰ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ أَصْحَابَ الْجَنَّةِ أَنْ أَفِيضُوا عَلَيْنَا مِنَ الْمَاءِ"
The residents of the Fire will then cry out to the residents of Paradise, “Aid us with some water"
What do they want? They wish for just a drink of water...!! what else?
"أَوْ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللَّهُ"
or anything...that God has bestowed upon you. They will reply them:
" إِنَّ اللَّهَ حَرَّمَهُمَا عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ"
“Allah has forbidden both to the disbelievers"
Why...what did they do wrong...!!?
"الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا دِينَهُمْ لَهْوًا وَلَعِبًا"
"those who took this1 faith ˹of Islam˺ as mere amusement and play"
And what else?
"وَغَرَّتْهُمُ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا"
"and were deluded by ˹their˺ worldly life.”

So what is the punishment now?
"فَالْيَوْمَ نَنسَاهُم"
Allah will say,˺ “Today We will ignore them"
Why?
"كَمَا نَسُوا لِقَاءَ يَوْمِهِمْ هَٰذَا وَمَا كَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ"
"just as they ignored the coming of this Day of theirs and for rejecting Our revelations.”

Time: 9:00am to 3:00pm
MSS Seeds of Paradise Food Pantry Sanford (Masjid Al Salam), in partnership with Second Harvest and Seminole County Department of Health will be having a mobile distribution at Fort Mellon Park. We need a minimum of 30 volunteers to help bag produce that we will be distributing to approximately 500 families. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old (accompanied by parents) and older. Closed toe shoes a must.
Volunteers must arrive by 9am.
Please contact Muslim Social Services at 407-250-5822 for more information or to be added to the volunteer list. Or inform Imam Armaan from Masjid Al Salam.
Great for High School students needing volunteering hours. (please bring your papers to be signed on site)
