We are excited to announce that another resident in Huntington Beach, CA has found their way back home!
Michael found himself without a home after his mother passed away and he had nowhere to go. He was homeless for over two years until his Minister helped him receive shelter at the Huntington Beach Navigation Center. During his time at the shelter, Michael worked on himself to overcome all of the barriers he felt in realizing that he did need help. Working together with his Housing Navigator, Michael received a one-bedroom apartment after six months in the shelter!
“It feels great to receive a place to call home. I’m so happy to achieve something.”
This is Stephanie Medina, Residential Services Coordinator for some of our Permanent Housing Facilities.🏠👇

We are excited to announce that we have ended the homelessness of 1 resident in Huntington Beach, CA.
Sharon was homeless for three years before she found her way to the Huntington Beach Navigation Center. She became homeless after fleeing from domestic abuse in her family and had nowhere to go.
While living on the streets of Huntington Beach, an outreach worker helped her find shelter at the Huntington Beach Navigation Center. Over the next months, Sharon worked with her Housing Navigators to create financial stability and search for permanent housing. After just nine months of being at the Huntington Beach Navigation Center, Sharon received Permanent Housing! She said she feels extremely blessed and excited about her new home.

This is Miguel Mendoza, Housing Solutions Senior Manager. Learn more about him below 👇
WHAT IS A RANDOM FACT ABOUT YOU?
I wake up every day between 4 and 4:30am. I utilize this time for my self-care. My morning routine normally consists of the following: Being grateful, stretching, journaling, creating a mental to-do list, reading, and drinking my coffee.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF YOUR JOB?
My favorite part of my job is having the opportunity to lead a group of leaders. Aside from our mission, my staff is my priority. When I succeed, they succeed.
