Belli’s Big Adjustment⬇️ Bellinger’s stance change and approach produced his highest batting average ever. In the stance, you can see. He has eliminated the slack in his arms, and he has preset his angles and tension. In my opinion, this increased his barrel accuracy by reducing bat drag. He told me his handset made him feel more controlled and less loose/draggy. On top of this, his approach made a tremendous difference in his performance. His average Exit Velo went down, and he performed better. This is because his goal was to hit a line drive from 7° to 22° through the middle of the field. With the new line Drive swing path, he’s probably swinging at 80 to 85%. All this means is he has a swing that can cover more locations. So, instead of swinging through the high fastball, he’s now driving it up the middle at 88 miles an hour. These adjustments have created the most hitterish version of Cody Bellinger yet. Bellinger trains with @micahfranklin56 Together, they have really leaned into decel and stopping the body’s rotation sooner to allow the barrel to stay in the path of the ball longer. All of their training is based on the 7 to 22 Line drive approach. I believe this method allows Cody to contain and direct his electricity. Lets start with what a quality round of bp DOES NOT look like☝🏽 It’s not a hitter mishitting 5 out of 8 baseballs in a round, or swinging and missing twice, because they’re chasing bat speed and exit velo😑 Too many showcase agencies recently have been rewarding young players with a “post” or “highlight” because they had the tOp eXiT vELo or the tOp tHrOwInG vELo🥴… meanwhile the players actual game performance was way below average🤷🏽‍♂️🫠 What a quality round of BP looks like is simple… minimum effort that produces maximum power.
