On November 19th 2023 at 9:53am, the Prospective Kappa Class crossed into Active Membership. We would like to congratulate the Kappas for their hard work and dedication, and cannot wait to see them grow as active members of the Alpha Sigma Chapter!

☎️ACTIVE MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

Meet Emily, a 4th year Biology major studying to pursue a career in Dentistry! Emily is currently working in research for science education (K-12) because she wants to specialize in Pediatric Dentistry. She recently took the DAT this past summer and plans on taking a gap year to apply to grad schools in the upcoming cycle.

What is Emily’s favorite thing about being in DEM?
“In DEM, you always have someone to rely on and relate to. My favorite memory is pulling all nighters in the lib with all my brothers and sisters and eating each other snacks in the study rooms”😝

We loved meeting you all yesterday at our Info Night and hope you got to learn more about why we joined DEM. Tonight is our Philanthropy/CS Night, which will include a presentation about our local and national philanthropies as well as a community service event! We will be making bracelets that will later be donated to School on Wheels, and organization that tutors homeless youth🎒See you soon!

DEM is back to host a raffle, this time with your choice of a pair of CDG CONVERSE sneakers to add to your shoe collection! All funds raised will go directly to our national philanthropy, Camp Dragonfly Forest, to help provide a children's camping experience for those with autism, sickle cell disease, 22q chromosome deletion, hemophilia, and more.

Link for the raffle form will be in the second slide and in our bio! We will be running the raffle until Saturday, April 8th, and drawing the winner on Sunday. Keep an eye out to see if you're the lucky winner 👀
