Hi Homeschoolers, Mom, Dads, and Pods of kids who love to cook!!!!
We just added our third round of Home Economics courses beginning Saturday June 25th, 2022 and Saturday, July 9th, 2022.
Our summer courses are a bit different, with a 4 week course for kids 8-12, and teens 13-17 years of age to take advantage of!
As always, non homeschoolers are also welcome, as well as homeschool pods!
If you have an aspiring Chef, foodie, our a child who simply wants to learn something new while making new friends, please click on the link below to learn more.
Your kids will learn the fundamentals of cooking, using fresh and locally sourced ingredients. They'll learn how to follow recipes, while learning how to create them.
**Students will participate in an Iron Chef inspired class, as well as their final presentation, where they will create and execute an entire meal for friends and family to enjoy.
Our kitchen space is attached to an event space that was formally a restaurant. Our students will be the Chef's, and the families will be our guest!
Students will come away from this course, knowing how to make signature dishes from scratch, while learning old school tricks of the trade that will remain with them for a lifetime.
This program was created with the belief that every child should have a basic to intermediate understanding of how food works on every level, while exploring all the benefits cooking can bring, combined with good manners and table etiquette.
This level of understanding and education fosters healthy relationships with food and all the many joys that cooking for yourself, and others can bring!
