Congratulations are in order for PathPoint’s Project SEARCH interns at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, who recently celebrated their graduation! We are so proud of our graduates for their dedication and hard work to achieve this incredible milestone. We are also so honored and proud to work with Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center , who has served as a host site for 15 years and has supported 80+ interns to graduate from the internship program. Congratulations to our graduating class and a huge thank you to UCLA Medical Center for their impactful partnership!

Individuals in Project SEARCH joined forces with individuals in our Integrated Work service to attend to a garden! They watered all the plants and made sure everything was looking good!

Folks in the Discoveries and Life Skills Plus services in Thousand Oaks had a really fun time celebrating Independence Day last week. Red, white, and blue colors were worn in observance of the holiday, and everyone collaborated to make a decorative banner!

July is Disability Pride Month! During this month, we celebrate the different abilities that connects back to the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, a ruling prohibiting discrimination against people with disabilities. In the next picture, we break down what each color in the Disability flag represents. Please join us in honoring and uplifting the identities, resilience and contributions of people with disabilities across our organization.

On July 1, 2024, Kids & Families Together (K&FT) merged with PathPoint. We believe there is exceptional synergy between our two organizations and that we are stronger together! As a merged organization, PathPoint looks forward to sustaining and growing K&FT’s vital mission, impressive family of services, and outstanding staff. PathPoint's Project SEARCH in Kern County is now accepting applications for the upcoming class. Project SEARCH is a paid internship that provides on the job training along with job searching skills. If you are interested, please contact the Assistant Coordinator for more information.

Our office location in San Luis Obispo hosts the Network Group in-person meetings for adults with Autism every first Tuesday of every month from 6-7pm. Please join us for an opportunity to socialize, support, and network with other adults with Autism.

Staff in San Luis Obispo attended the 2024 Go for the Gold Business EXPO at the Expo. Staff provided information about the many services provided by PathPoint out in the San Luis Obispo County while making business connections that resulted in employment opportunities for the individuals. Thank you to the staff for representing PathPoint and for spreading the word of the wonderful work that staff do on a daily basis!

PathPoint's 60th Anniversary celebration continues across all five counties. The North Central Coast division celebrated the anniversary by hosting delicious food, interactive games and a backdrop where people had the opportunity to snap great pictures. We will carry on the celebration throughout the year, and we will continue to share the many great moments the nearly 2,300 individuals are experiencing.

June is Pride Month which provides an opportunity to celebrate the diversity present in our community! By becoming an inclusive organization, PathPoint fosters an environment of empowerment so that everyone can be their authentic self and contribute meaningfully to our mission. Diversity enhances employee engagement, which drives innovation and continuous improvement. Cultural humility creates an environment of growth, where our staff and the people we support feel safe, welcomed, and included.

Happy Pride Month! Pride is an opportunity to celebrate the beautiful and powerful diversity within LGBTQ+ communities with respect to race, color, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, and disability.
During this month, the California Civil Rights Department, CA vs Hate program is showing up and showing out at LGBTQ+ Pride events across the state to offer support and resources in the fight against hate. Pride events serve as powerful platforms for promoting inclusivity, celebrating diversity, and advocating for equality across all of California’s diverse communities. We are wrapping up Mental Health Awareness Month by sharing how our corporate building and Counseling Center went green during the entire month of May. Light Up Green is a campaign that is held during Mental Health Awareness Month where many businesses switch their lights to a green color in efforts of raising awareness for Mental Health.
