D4-260 with a serious saltwater intrusion into the bell-housing due to misalignment. Caused a hole in the exhaust pipe and faulty bilge pump not being able to keep up with the leak.

In goes a new 20kw generator. We didn’t have to wait months for this engine as we had it in our inventory.

last weeks salt water turbo bath!! A lot of the boat manufactures think they have designed and installed an exhaust system properly, but not always the case. This client was drift fishing with the engine off on a rough day and ocean water found its way through the exhaust into the engine. Luckily we were able to get to the clients engine and pickle it within hours of this happening.

Another repower starts, out with the old in with the new. This beautiful swan will have a Yanmar 4JH57 common rail engine instead of an old Perkins 4108.

Yanmar 6LYA-STP exhaust manifold gasket and turbo swap. Get your engine surveyed by somebody who knows what they’re talking about not just a hull surveyor. The owner of this mainship was told that he had an oil leak. Come to find out it was his exhaust gaskets we’re nonexistent and the carbon was mixing with condensation and dripping down the block. Plus the previous owner had been running it like this so the aftercooler was completely full of carbon.

It’s always a good day when we start off with something new. Installing this northern lights 5KW was not easy but the client is super happy with the outcome.
