January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month!
We are focusing on two powerful antibodies, p16 and HPV (BSB-66), designed to contribute to understanding cervical cancer.
Together, these antibodies open new avenues for diagnostic assistance, ultimately contributing to the fight against cervical cancer.

*HPV (BSB-66):

Papillomaviruses, a diverse group of DNA-based viruses, play a significant role in human health. With over 100 characterized human papillomavirus (HPV) types, some of them are known to cause benign skin warts or papillomas.

Our spotlight antibody, HPV (BSB-66), clone SB24, reacts with a crucial epitope of the major capsid protein of HPV. What makes this antibody extraordinary is its broad reactivity among different HPV subtypes.

P16 (16P04, JC02):

In our quest for a deeper understanding of cervical cancer, we turn our attention to p16, a vital tumor suppressor gene.
Functioning as a crucial player in cell cycle regulation, p16INK4a binds and deactivates various cyclin-CDK complexes, ultimately acting as a G1/S-cell cycle regulator.

Its involvement in the pathway leading to the tumor suppressor protein Rb makes p16 a key focus in cancer diagnostics.

When p16 is combined with Ki67 detection, it becomes a powerful indicator of cervical lesions where cell division is unchecked.
This combination offers pathologists a valuable tool to assess and understand the progression of cervical abnormalities.

Embracing Lung Cancer Awareness Month with Purpose! Join us in the collective effort against this disease.
At Bio SB, we take pride in contributing to early detection, pioneering treatments, and envisioning a world free from lung cancer. 💙🔬

Explore some of our IHC antibodies making a difference in the field of lung cancer diagnostics:

BRAF V600E: A human gene pivotal in cell growth signaling, linked to cancers like non-small-cell lung carcinoma.

p63: An essential marker for differentiating lung adenocarcinoma and squamous carcinoma, shedding light on epithelial development.

TTF-1 (Thyroid Transcription Factor-1): A protein aiding in the distinction of primary lung adenocarcinoma from metastatic breast carcinomas and malignant Mesothelioma. Also, a valuable tool in identifying Small-Cell Lung Carcinoma.

These markers play a crucial role in accurate diagnoses, guiding treatment pathways. Together, let's take significant strides towards a healthier future. 🤝💪

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎗️
Here at Bio SB, we're passionate about shining a light on the significance of early breast cancer detection and accurate diagnosis. Early detection can boost survival rates to over 90% — that's an amazing impact! 💪💗

Our HER-2 neu (RBT-HER2) and TRPS1 antibodies can play a key role in aiding healthcare professionals to make early diagnosis and effective treatments possible. 🩺

HER-2 neu (also known as c-erbB-2) is a member of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) family and is notable for its role in the pathogenesis of breast cancer and as a target of treatment. It is a cell membrane surface-bound tyrosine kinase and is normally involved in the signal transduction pathways leading to cell growth and differentiation. 🌸

TRPS1 is a transcription factor that represses GATA and its downstream effectors. It regulates growth and differentiation of mammary epithelial cells and is highly sensitive in the diagnosis of triple negative breast carcinoma (TNBC) (2). TRPS1 has higher expression than GATA3 in TNBC cases, and can indicate more aggressive cancer with higher rates of metastasis and recurrence. 📢

We are committed to offering the highest-quality, state-of-the-art antibodies for Immunohistochemistry (IHC) to support clinicians, pathologists, and researchers in their quest for breast cancer detection and treatment. 💼👨‍🔬👩‍🔬

Join us this month in spreading the word and creating ripples of awareness about breast cancer – let's make a real difference together! 🤝🌼
