After cutting and letting forage dry for a day you rake it into rows and let it dry another day or so… happy rescue horses, happy life.

Soil reports are in ! Ground is doing better but need more fertilizer… please share and donate if you can - the better we get our soil the better the forage for the rescues.

Pasture health does not just happen. Three samples from three different areas in the Oklahoma pasture. All 3 areas very different, sent in for yearly soil testing to check soil nutrients and see if and what needs to be added. Also microbial levels.. Rescuing and ranchers work is never done !

We are seeking donations to help cover additional rescue horse pasture costs. Healthy pasture, healthy horses!

Meet Apollo
rescued from an Oklahoma kill pen His history and how he ended up in that situation are unknown. Apollo is now safe at Last Chance Horse Rescue Oklahoma location he will begin his rehabilitation once he has gained the proper weight. We are seeking donations to help cover his additional feed costs, high-fat grains, vaccinations, worming, and minor medical care.

So it finally happened ! We acquired 80 acres of prarie grass / bermuda pastures for the rescues and retired horses. They are extremely happy and living the dream life! Property has 100 year old shade trees, creek, spring fed pond, fresh water troughs and wonderful weather..

Just a little tease of Chelsie’s Oklahoma retirement horse paradise - the wild flower pasture is stunning - pictures can’t do it any justice.

Exciting news!! Last Chance Horse Rescue is now based out of Oklahoma & California


This man was forced to give his dog to the Humane Society due to undergoing lengthy hospital stay.

This nurse found out and immediately went to the shelter and adopted his dog.

She brings him to visit daily and will return him as soon as the man is released!❤️

Worked with this amazing family who is doing a documentary on their life. Fleet was a champion of champions giving their daughter a riding lesson. It was heartwarming how they bonded 🥰

Meet Cookies & Cream, two pony rescues that just came into rescue. These adorable 5 year old geldings have not been touched. Cream is needing his teeth floated, They have been scheduled for vet check and are in nice comfy stalls getting abundant feed. Please any help you can provide to help with their rehab, vet and training would be a great help to bring these two into good mental and physical condition.
