Summer may be over but all the feels are still here! 🔥☀️ Confidence is the spark that ignites the flame of success.

Let’s get ready for September testing in 2 weeks. Please note your test group/time and bring your questions as we start review this week. We are already so proud of each and every one of you!

Reminder: Mindful will be closed today in observance of Labor Day. We hope you enjoy the end of summer, celebrating safely and responsibly.

Classes resume on Tuesday, September 3rd.

September Testing is vast approaching, mark your calendars today!! If you can’t make our testing day, you can choose to test at either of our association schools in Burbank on the 7th, or Palmdale on the 14th. Please coordinate with us ahead of time. 🥋

Mackenzie moved up from the P*e Wee class earlier this year. She adapted to the new class quickly, and has grown so much as a martial artist. We love having Mackenzie’s spirit and attitude at Mindful!! 😁🤭 She is also a talented poet and artist, too. 🧑🏻‍🎨🐰

We are excited to celebrate our youngest & newest rank promotion, River! She was focused, enthusiastic, and crushed her test. Congrats on becoming a yellow belt, we look forward to what’s ahead with you!

We had a blast with our Mindful crew at MB2 Sunday as a send off for Liam who is moving to Myrtle Beach next week. Congrats on your recent promotion to junior black belt!! We will miss your spirit, imagination, humor, and energy you brought to us at Mindful over the years. All the best to you, Liam, in what’s ahead for you on your next adventure!

It’s almost that time! We are so proud of each and every one of our students every time they enter the training floor, and we hope you are proud of all you have accomplished. Come show off what you should be proud of, your talents as a martial artist! If you can’t make our testing day, you can test in West Palmdale. And thank you parents for your support, always!

Congrats are in order for Elliot, Mindful’s first adult black belt rank!! 👊🏻🥋 We are beyond proud of the work you showed last night. You were calm, graceful, and had a smile on your face throughout the long night. Us too! You did Suh do Kwan proud representing one of three schools testing together. The future looks bright thanks to students like you with dedication, commitment and a big heart.

FLASHBACK! Here’s a look back at Master David and Carrie at a forms seminar in Burbank. This was in-depth study of technique and performance of Bassai Dae taught by our grandmaster, Don Baird.

Exciting seminar being offered next weekend! Exploring how to apply the elements to our forms. Open to ALL association schools. Will definitely be great study!

We love how tight knit & welcoming our Juniors are to all! Liam, Solana, Eric, Dylan, Aidan, Huck and William, you epitomize what Mindfulness is all about: intension, attention and attitude. Thank you all for being a gift to this art.

Do you know someone who is interested in learning Kung Fu? We start as young as 4 years old.

Testing is right around the corner! If you cannot make our test on the 17th of June, please know you can test at either of our association schools, American School of Martial Arts Burbank or West Palmdale.
