We love dogs and we love our tenants! We want both you and your pet to have an outstanding experience during your time at Monticello Residence. Here are a few tips to help ensure you and your furry friend make the most out of your apartment life together. ❤️ 🐶 🐾⁠

1. Choose the right breed⁠
You might already have a fur baby but if you are currently looking for your furever friend be sure to look for a breed that thrives in a smaller environment. Do some research to find the perfect breed for you and your home.⁠

2. Get lots of exercise⁠
Dogs have lots of energy and will do best if they get plenty of exercise. Be sure to take them on walks every day to get them out into the world and work out some of that energy. They will be much happier and less likely to cause damage to your furniture out of boredom.⁠

3. Get them used to the noise⁠
It can be very helpful to desensitize your dog. Get him used to new noises by allowing him to interact with people who live near you. He will feel safer and be less likely to bark all day. You can also try obedience classes too.⁠

4. Patio potty⁠
Lots of pet owners have had amazing success with a designated patio potty. Pups can relieve themselves outside on your patio without the daily repetitive trips outside. You can get outdoor dog potties very easily online and they will keep your patio very clean and easy to maintain. Just be sure to stay on top of cleaning the potty space so that those special dog smells don't drift over to your neighbor's patio.⁠

5. Get a dog walker⁠
If you leave your apartment to work, you might consider a dog walker or even putting your dog in daycare. This is great for dogs that need a little extra exercise and can give you peace of mind if you work long hours.⁠
