Party for LARC Residents to celebrate the Here Comes The Sun Fundraiser ❤️
It’s the happiest time of the year— our annual fundraiser for L.A.R.C Ranch. We are entering our 62nd year of providing a safe comfortable and loving home for our nearly 100 developmentally disabled adults helping them to live their best, most fulfilling lives. L.A.R.C. Staff have done an incredible job during the Covid shut down— the residents have been healthy, busy, safe and happy throughout the past 18 months. Annually, we have a fundraiser to help bridge the gap between the funding we receive and actual cost of maintaining the 65 acre campus, 13 individual homes, The Apple St. home, Sunrise ADC program, L.A.R.C. Industries and the auxiliary buildings on the campus. Every donation we receive makes a big difference and goes directly to L.A.R.C. Ranch. Donate today at www.larcfoundation.org or by calling 661-296-8636 extension 233! Please consider making a contribution today.

This afternoon there was a brush fire called the Texas Fire approximately a mile from LARC Ranch. Out of an abundance of caution, we evacuated all of the LARC residents and staff to our LARC industries day program in Santa Clarita. We just received word that evacuations for Bouquet Canyon have been lifted. We will have a pizza dinner at LARC Industries then head home to the Ranch for the night! Thank you to everyone who reached out and for all your positive thoughts and prayers❤️
Thank you to Mask Makers in Santa Clarita for donating 200 masks to the residents of LARC Ranch! We appreciate your kindness and generosity!
Happy New Year! LARC Ranch resident Mario Hidalgo will be in the Rose Parade on January 1, 2020. He will be riding on the Kiwanis Float the 70th entry in the parade. Mario will be representing the Santa Clarita Aktion Club that is composed of all LARC residents. Mario was chosen from a pool of many applicants due to his various accomplishments and more than 10 years of service in the Aktion Club in various leadership capacities! We can’t wait to see him proudly represent LARC and the SCV Aktion Club!
Thank you KHTS for coming out and sharing information on LARC Ranch!
We are home!! Late last night all LARC residents and staff returned to the Ranch. The evacuation order has been lifted and electricity restored so we were able to bring everone back to the Ranch. Thank you for all your phone calls, messages, positive thoughts and prayers during our Tick Fire Evacuation adventure! LARC residents did a great job during the evacuation and our stay at the Red Cross Shelter. We cannot thank our staff enough. LARC staff worked tirelessly around the clock making sure every resident’s need was met and that they felt safe, happy and comfortable! LARC Ranch is truly blessed to have such amazing families, residents and staff!
LARC Ranch is currently under mandatory evacuation orders due to the Tick Fire. All of the residents and staff are safe and currently at our LARC Industries Day Program where we will have a pizza party then head to the Red Cross Shelter for a night of sleep. Keep all of us in your thoughts and prayers as well as all the First Responders and Fire fighters out there trying to protect everyone! We will post updates here as they develop.
