A question I get very often!
I'm happy to report that 99.9% of lashes used in the United States today are NOT made from mink. They are synthetic, and they're made from PBT (swipe to see). ❕I only use synthetic mink lashes.❕
"So why are they called mink then?"
Good question! I guess it's just marketing!
"Is it possible to find real mink lashes?"
Yes, there are still some small shops that offer mink lashes but they are hard to find. Also, real mink hair lose their curl pretty fast, and some people may be allergic to them.
