Our College Access program held their end of the year graduation for our students who participated in college workshops, college tours, and events throughout the year as part of a one-year program.

We’d like to congratulate our graduating class of 8th graders who reached an important milestone. Joined by their families, our students received a farewell celebration that included food, music, and an opportunity to thank their staff and classmates for a great three years.

We were out on Wednesday night and were able to help 4 people who were sleeping rough in and amongst the sleet and snow. Hoping that BMBC can use the SWEP provisions to find shelter for those that want it.

I would like to thank a local business who have made a very generous donation of £2500 to help support all that we do.

I would like to thank the students and staff at Barnsley College's Park Road Campus for donating a lot of blankets made from a lot of crisp packets. These can be used by our clients to put on the ground to protect their belongings - and maybe even as a protective blanket to wrap around them to keep them war and dry. THANK YOU!

For those of you unsure about what we're up to these days, the drop-in itself is still closed unfortunately. But as a charity we are supporting and facilitating the Barnsley Rough Sleeper Project. We are still supporting the most vulnerable and donations are still going directly to people who need them. But the centre itself isn't open like it used to be so if you want to donate anything please get in touch.

She just announced a feast to celebrate her winnings Since taking office in 2017, Ashcroft has worked hand-in-hand with Missouri’s libraries and the state legislature to bring state funding for public libraries back to the levels once seen in Fiscal Year 2010.

“This is such a great honor,” Ashcroft said. “I believe so strongly in the value of public libraries. If you have access to a library, you can teach yourself anything. Libraries serve such a unique and vital role in their communities, acting as a hub of resources – especially in workforce development – for their patrons. BOONSLICK, SEDALIA PUBLIC LIBRARIES RECEIVE GRANT MONEY

Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft visited Boonslick Regional Library and Sedalia Public Library on Thursday to take a tour, meet the staff and make grant presentations.

The Secretary of State’s State Library recently awarded Workforce Development Collection Improvement Grants to the libraries, with Boonslick Regional Library, 219 W. 3rd, receiving $2,400 and Sedalia Public Library, 311 W. 3rd, receiving $1,500.
