Rocket was hit by a car and needs TWO SURGERIES for two separate legs. The dog’s owner was out of work for two years after losing her job during COVID. They have started a Go Fund Me to help with the costs of both surgeries if anyone can help, as they are trying desperately to avoid euthanizing 😢

Aster is very special!!! She came to us at 6-8 weeks old with Parvo! She had a poor chance of survival! Her VERY YOUNG (teenage) human daddy didn’t have a lot of resources to treat but you guys donated! THANK YOU!!! Our vet assistant, Ashley, took Aster home that first night and cared for her through the night. We really didn’t expect her to make it but she had a will to live! She’s doing great and healthy enough to receive her second distemper Parvo vaccine today to protect her moving forward! She even gave our practice manager a juicy kiss of gratitude!

We truly have THE BEST clients in the world! We appreciate your kindness towards us and to pets in need (and their humans)! You all make a difference on a regular basis (not just monetarily either) - we are very blessed!!

THANK YOU!

It’s been a LLOOOONNNNNGGGG road and still counting!!! Remember the kitty who was left in our lobby and we were going to have to amputate his leg? The morning of his surgery Dr. Ron called it off and Julia started doing sugar wraps on him! The name Tripod went out the window 🙌🏼 and the girls came up with Sugar Foot due to the sugar wraps but Julia’s brother was the most creative with Lactose (did I mention kitty is missing a couple of toes?

Meet Lactose!!! He is still recovering but spoiled and loved and the wraps are off!! Julia has put so much into him and she has so much love for him! Say a prayer she (and her family) becomes his happily ever after FUREVER home!!

On Friday, one of our house cats (Ty Ty) picked the client of the day… Ms. Kathleen!!! Ty Ty hopped up on her lap, unexpectedly, and gave her a hug. Notice Ty Ty’s same facial expression in both pics!

Who knows what this is??? HINT: It was discovered first through imaging and removed during a spay procedure.

EDUCATION: Please understand the importance of spaying your pets. It protects against diseases, disorders, and even cancers. Spaying female dogs and cats can prevent uterine infection (Pyometra) and reduce the risk of breast cancer. It is definitely in the best interest of your pet to spay and neuter.

Don’t hesitate to ask us questions. We are always here to help!

One of our clients is hoping to find a forever home for this rescue. She likes to keep a space in her home for emergency fosters and currently does not have space so she asked if we could assist in networking this precious pup. Please message us here or call the office if you are interested so we can connect you with the individual currently caring for this adorable pup.

Sierra’s AMAZING staff hard at work carefully & gently removing sutures on this beautiful Friday!!!

Photos from Sierra Veterinary Clinic's post 03/03/2024

We talk about poisonous things that are harmful to our pets like foods (chocolate, avocado, xylitol, etc...) and poisonous vegetation such as sago palms and lilies but we don't talk about other hazardous items as much as we should. These x-rays from Friday very clearly show that this medium-sized dog clearly likes rocks; LOTS OF ROCKS!!! These small decorative landscaping rocks left this poor fur baby in need of surgical intervention.

Our goal is to save you from these types of emergencies through education and awareness. Please never hesitate to ask us for advice. We care tremendously and are always happy to help!!!

Praying he makes a full recovery!

Nugget was our non-patient, patient of the day! LOL! Nugget’s owners are long-time clients of ours and brought Nugget for a visit (we don’t treat goats)! Nugget first visited us when he was 5 days old… we love Nugget!!! 💕 🐐 🐾

02/22/2024

UPDATE on the kitty that was severely injured and our amazing Julia has been caring for… Dr. Ron will have to amputate.

Isn’t he cute??? He’s the sweetest kitty ever too!!! We already know he will be an amazing li’l tripod and make a beautiful addition to whatever forever home he ends up in!

Obi is approximated to be a 4 month old German Shepherd Mix — he was rescued by one of our wonderful clients after being dumped. Unfortunately the family isn’t able to keep him, they are working on getting his vaccinations and training him while we help him find his forever home. If you have space for this sweet, handsome boy please contact us for more information - (661) 252-3333.
