It feels like this Cacao Dance tour has been years in the making. I never imagined how beautiful of a tour was possible until now. To organize a full trip along the east and west coast of the US with ceremony being such an integral part of the events, is a dream come true. I feel we are truly forging a new path with this tour and setting an example that it is indeed possible to tour without the influence of alcohol, in containers designed for deep transformational experience, with event organizers who really get the vision and want to support a new way of coming together and celebrating the beauty of being alive.

I never could have imagined that these small cacao ecstatic dances that we started experimenting with in Guatemala years ago would eventually inspire a whole movement across the world to incorporate the values and guidelines of ecstatic dance, the intention and reverence of ceremony, and the magic facilitated with the spirit of cacao.

It’s a deep joy to be joined by my partner Bruna Bortolato as the anchor for the cacao energy and bringing this deep ceremonial reverence to the spaces we are activating. I will also be supported by a few friends and extremely talented musicians for our live improvised organic electronic sets on select dates Murraya Kyle, Brielle Murch, Matia Kalli & more local guests as well.

Thank you to my US agent & manager Setesh Free for seeing this vision through and connecting with the local communities in each of these locations to make this a reality. It definitely takes a bit of an extra push when we have chosen to avoid venues with bars. If you haven’t noticed, the music industry is completely saturated with the alcohol energy and generally is profitable because of alcohol sales. We believe in a new way to gather and we see that others support this vision. It’s only together that we can open up these new pathways of music, dance, and celebration.
