🕰️ Time with family is always so precious to me.

This year I spent the Thanksgiving Holiday with my brother and his family in Austin, Texas. I had a great time. We ate delicious food, went on walks, and shared stories about how life is going as well as how his kids are growing up.

Devin, Elijah, and I orchestrated a baking marathon. We made shortbread cookies, cranberry oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, lemon bars, and gingerbread cookies all in one afternoon!

We had a great time. I love seeing these kids grow up and enjoying being a kid with them. 🥰✨

Dear Family and Friends,

Many of you may know that we have been trying to have a baby since 2015. Finally, we decided to seek out medical intervention. In the fall of 2021, we tried two rounds of IUI to no avail. We then went to specialists up in San Francisco and began the In Vitro Process where 5 viable embryos were created! We put the embryos on ice and we were ready to implant them back in July. We just needed to wait for the next cycle.

We waited and waited until Jaimi took a pregnancy test just in case that was the issue and....nothing. The doctors at the fertility clinic told her to come and do an ultrasound to see what the heck was going on. She took another pregnancy test just in case before driving up to San Francisco and letting out a scream! Never had she seen a plus sign before! Jaimi rushed to the drugstore and grabbed 6 more pregnancy tests, for sure this was a fluke. After drinking lots of water and testing on all sticks, they all showed up positive!

Doctors shared that it was a 1 in 60 million chance. Luckily while reading a book about Cave Bears, Beau was inspired to start eating ancient mineral-rich petrified soil tar (much like the tar in which most Cave Bear fossils are found) and both Beau and Jaimi had been taking it for about a month when Jaimi got pregnant.

That night Jaimi shared the surprising news with Beau. Beau was in shock and stared at the tests for quite a while, before realizing it was a Cave Bear Miracle! He ate some honey to celebrate. A week later the doctor confirmed that Jaimi was indeed pregnant the old-fashioned way!

The baby is currently healthy and moving around. At the time of the Gender Reveal last weekend, the baby will be 18 weeks and the size of a grapefruit. We are excited to share the news with you all. Thank you all for your love and support.
