In science, students created a model of the Earth’s revolution at a 23.5 degree angle around the sun. The sun is always tilted at the North Star causing differing amounts of sunlight which forms our four seasons!

This last weekend, students gathered at the Bruins game for a fun community get together! We even got a shout out on the big screen! Thank you SCS Parent Social Committee for organizing such a fun event! Hope to see you at the next one!

Introducing the Royal OW Family! 👑

First graders learned about the OW letter team today, filling their crowns with OW!

5th graders used hydroponics to sprout wheat and lima bean seeds! This was the plant growth after two weeks using only water and air! 🌱 💧

This month, the 7th grade students and Mrs. McQueen began the training with Steven Wynbrandt of Wynbrandt Farms. Steven has pioneered a school site specific approach to biodynamic composting and the students are being trained in all facets of this process.

In a year’s time we will have amazing compost to share with the community and these students will be the ones responsible for making it happen over time.

This week, Sycamore students returned to the public library! We love partnering with the library to give students exposure to new titles and authors, while using a great free resource in our community!
