Ken was part of the Sea Shore Motel family for nearly 15 years. He made many friends that stayed at the motel and kept in touch with guests from all around the world. He will be missed immensely by so many. RIP Honey Badger ❤️.

Festival of chariots parade on main st. last Sunday. This weekend Main St. will be the start of “Open Main St. Festival” with live music, food booths, and even pickle ball courts.

Another great visit with the Giles family from Amsterdam. They have been visiting the Sea Shore Motel for over 35 years.

My brother’s and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch today with long time guests from Amsterdam. The Giles family have been coming since 1987. Pictures to come!

Rocktober street closure today:

Dear Main Street,

In partnership with the City of Santa Monica and Ocean Park Neighborhood Association, we are excited to host Rocktober, a free community event this Saturday. Notices were sent via USPS earlier this month to all merchants + residents.

PLEASE BE ADVISED: Main Street will be closed to cars from Strand Street to Pier Avenue. Ocean Park Blvd. will remain open to east and west traffic. The closure is from 8am-9pm. Public beach parking lots will remain open, accessible from Neilson Way.

There will also be stages and activities in private lots on Main Street which may affect some merchants including: Edgemar, the lot adjacent to Ashland Hill and others.

We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and encourage businesses to please use alternative transportation if possible.
