We did some concepts for the Bill & Ted film, Face The Music. Based on old school photocopied band posters, the stories capture how far the guys have fallen. We had fun. Party on peoples! Have an awesome weekend!
I had the opportunity to create a visual identity for a nightclub for the first time, and it was a lot of fun. The Alley, located in Miami, has a mysterious vibe that plays off both its name and the actual venue. The images I used are intentionally hazy, evoking the feeling of a night shrouded in mystery, like a half-remembered adventure of music and dancing. The colors are quintessentially Miami, selected from the actual alley at night.

I have been doing this for a while, and one of the things I love about my job is that every day is a bit different. For instance, I have never made anything for a watch brand before, nor have I ever made a Blackletter logo, yet here I am doing both. I’m very lucky to have clients who trust me with the unknown. That’s bravery, trusting someone with your idea and your brand. And I’m lucky to have friends and mentors who pushed me in all the right directions to explore the unknown when I was younger and trying to figure myself out. I would have made a crap economist anyway. 🤣

David LaRosa and the verso team redesigned a website for Designers Fountain, a prominent leader in the lighting industry with more than 10,000 distinct designs and 1,500 unique products. In collaboration with our client, verso created a modern design that centered the clients’ beautiful products.
As a B2B product our custom design offers detailed product information and filtering.
Designed and developed on using , we created a custom system architecture designed around the clients’ unique industry needs. Verso also updated the Designers Fountain brand identity.
The new product ensures that sales associates have a successful browsing experience. Special thanks to everyone who worked on the project: Markus Hagen

Flashback Friday – Who said training can’t be cool? We sure didn’t! But you know who you are! We at verso have more than 10 years of training module and LMS experience. Every time we design one, we treat it like we would any piece of creative. We make something we would love to use. This was a maintenance training module we did for training experts Grace Hill in collaboration with their content team. We created the illustration and graphics and revised the overall module UI/UX design system based on the platform Grace Hill was using. From this system we developed a style guide and asset library that could be used by the Grace Hill content team to build modules for their maintenance training program.

We are total fan boys when it comes to typography and we notice when somebody else does a great job. It all started with a sexy ‘R’ when we noticed L’Atelier BNP Paribas ‘Social Mobility in the Digital Age’ project. We loved the combo of serif (‘Roslindale’ by ) and sans-serif (‘Surt’ by ) fonts. Nice work, the level of detail did not go unnoticed. Chapeau!

Brand id for S.T.E.A.M. ROLL 100 a very cool group of folks trying to raise money for S.T.E.A.M Education. Nice to see ART back in acronym. 🖖 Speaking of art - this direction was based on old "school" postcards for Florida and Miami. We cranked up the Yacht rock Spotify playlist and had some fun for a good cause!
