Cricklewood Restaurant
An eating and drinking place. When we opened Cricklewood in 1976, we dedicated ourselves to finding the finest and freshest ingredients possible.
We purchase aged black angus beef (natural; no hormones or antibiotics added). We slow roast our prime rib and hand trim each steak. Our vegetables are always fresh selected from local suppliers. The potatoes are baked naked (no oil or foil) in small batches throughout the evening so they will always be served hot and fresh. Enjoy, and be sure to share Cricklewood with your friends! Did You Know?
This is the night… power went out about 10pm. Then it came back on almost immediately. “They” decided not to “panic” us, so no alerts were sent out. No crawlers at the bottom of the tv screen to tell us there was a fire heading our way.
I miss my restaurant. I miss my patrons/friends/regulars. I miss my life.
Hi.
Haven’t been here in a long time. It’s too sad.
But I keep getting notifications that people are checking in.
Hapa’s will be opening in 2024 at the old Cricklewood site. Hopefully we’ll bump into one another there…
The small cottage that Michael and I shared after the fire is on property that the Town of Windsor granted a temporary housing ordinance. That ordinance is expiring. The residents here are asking for an extension (the housing situation hasn’t gotten better yet) but who knows if they’ll give that to us.
Soooo, if anyone has a Granny unit that’s begging for a quiet, respectable tenant, that would be me. Just asking for reasonable rent. And to stay in the Windsor area.
You can text me your name and number if you have or know of such a unit at 707-477-0928.
Thanks. Just text please. No calls. I don’t answer calls I don’t recognize.
Hope you’re all well and looking forward to good food and drinks at Hapa’s.
Miss you all
Lynette
Gracie, the unofficial hostess at Cricklewood for 9 years has crossed the rainbow 🌈 bridge. She had a great life (22 years), loved by many and she loved you all back. Thanks for making her life so enjoyable.
It’s been a rough 5 years. Losing Cricklewood, then Michael, then Georgie (the sweet grey kitty almost no one ever saw) and now Gracie.
I’m going to see about making this page a memorial for Cricklewood, so if you want to stay in touch, I’m on Facebook, Lynette McGee.
Thanks for all the years of support.
