Holiday Networking Party & Environmental Awards Celebration
Friday, December 8, 2023, 5 – 8pm
Join members of local environmental groups for good food, wine, hot cider and live music.
Location: Sebastopol Grange, 6000 Highway 12, (approx. 2.5 miles west of Fulton Rd.)
SCCC will be presenting the awards at a webinar December 6 (link available soon). At the Holiday Networking Party, the community will join to celebrate the awardees and connect in person.

SCCC is proud to present awards to five Sonoma County leaders in recognition of their many years of dedication, focus and effective action in protecting the local environment.
The Ernestine I. Smith Environmentalist of the Year award goes to Kathy Pons, Valley of the Moon Alliance, and Sonia Taylor, affordable housing and sustainable development advocate.
The Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Margaret Briare, Bodega Bay Concerned Citizens, and Norman Gilroy, Community Alliance with Family Farmers, Sonoma Valley Citizens Advisory Commission, and many other groups.
The Youth Environmental Award will be presented to Galen Freed-Wilhelm for his work with the Sonoma Ecology Center.

The annual Holiday Networking Party put on by SCCC and Sierra Club Redwood Chapter was a big success this year. Over forty dedicated folks working in Sonoma County's diverse enviromental community turned out at the Sebastopol Grange on Friday, Dec 9, to share a meal and lively conversation, and to celebrate this year's Enviromentalists of the Year awardees.
