Perfect for summer gatherings! Here’s good ole’ Louisiana comfort food cooked in one pot that can be served almost anytime. Jambalaya is a combination of rice, the Cajun Trinity vegetables and a little bit of spice. My jambalaya mix makes a “brown” Cajun version without tomatoes, but you can add some if you wish. The recipe is practically effortless. Brown smoked sausage and chicken, add rice, broth, and my Jambalaya seasoning mix, and let it cook. You can easily add some shrimp too if you wish.
It's Jazz Fest time so I'm here to share the love with my rendition of this New Orleans’ favorite! If you have been to Jazz Fest, no doubt you are familiar with Crawfish Monica. It’s a mixture of crawfish tails with pasta in a decadent cream sauce. My Crawfish Pasta seasoning mix takes much of the work out of preparation but delivers loads of flavor for a similar dish. Make an easy cream sauce, add my seasoning mix, then combine with cooked pasta and crawfish tails (shrimp makes a good substitute.)
Although originally claimed by the low country of South Carolina, Shrimp and Grits can be found throughout the South. There are as many variations as there are cooks but I think my recipe is the best you’ll ever have! My Shrimp and Grits seasoning mix makes a spicy, full-flavored dish that is so easy to prepare. Add my seasoning mix with a little chicken broth to sautéed shrimp, heat through and it's ready to serve with a bowl of cheesy grits!
