We felt the need to explain why we’ve not been active on social media lately. As we roll into May and recognize mental health awareness month, we thought it was an appropriate time to break our silence. We recently lost a friend and neighbor to mental health illness. As a society, we should be able to speak freely about our mental health, free of judgement and the stigma around it. Unfortunately, most just suffer in silence and never share our true thoughts and feelings. So we are challenging everyone to choose compassion over judgement, sometimes all people need is someone to talk to!
