Removal and Bio-Trauma/Crime Scene Clean Up.

Service Locations: Sarasota County, Manatee County, Charlotte County, Desoto County, Hardee County and Highlands County

Reports to Project Manager/Owner and Deputy Project Manager when PM is not available. Additional Compensation – Current IICRC Certifications, Florida Mold Certification, and Relevant

Experience Increase Compensation

Hourly non-exempt $14.00-$19.00; paid bi-weekly-direct deposit.

Job purpose

The VetCor Technician is responsible for the prompt, efficient, and effective mitigation of all assigned projects in accordance with IICRC guidelines, and VetCor Standard Operating

Procedures (SOP) using the training and resources provided. The Technician is expected to treat our clients (insurance partners and insured) and co-workers with dignity and respect – always adhering to the VetCor values. The Technician is also expected to properly account for, and care for, equipment either directly assigned, or personally used on each project.

The VetCor Technician is committed to assisting our customers in a time of need, a natural disaster, and traumatic events. As such, we deploy to other areas in the State of Florida and outside the State of Florida for weeks and possibly months depending on the scale of disaster and need of our services.

Duties and responsibilities

• Executes daily pre-deployment checks of vehicles, equipment, and expendables

• Safely and responsibly operates vehicles, tools, and equipment

• Assists in the initial site inspection, diagram, and photo documentation of the site

• Safely and responsibly executes contents manipulation, contents protection, water extraction, and controlled removal of materials as required

• Employs drying / air filtration equipment in accordance with IICRC standards • Employs engineering controls as directed (containment)

• Assists in preparation of documentation: Initial Contact Report, Dry Log, Scope sheet, manually drawing sketches of the residence to scale and upload picture and naming.

• Independently executes subsequent monitoring visits and adjusts as required to maximize drying efforts

• Assists in updating project documentation during each subsequent visit to a project

• Communicates time sensitive project status with the Senior Technician, Deputy PM, and PM

• Properly recovers assets after each project – inspects and cleans equipment and ensures customers home are clean prior to leaving the job site

• Assists in maintaining mitigation vehicles, offices, and shop area in a high state of organization and cleanliness

• Able to deploy within 48-72 hours to an affected area that has been damaged by a hurricane, major storm or winter storm.

Qualifications

• IICRC Certifications (preferred, but not required): Will do on the job training and after 90 days of employment, Technician will be eligible to receive IICRC certifications paid by the company

• Ability to learn / execute job administration using: IPAD Tablet, Proven Job Management (PJM)/ PSA management software o Additional / new as required

• Exceptional communication (written and oral) / customer service skills

• Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License, unrestricted driving license • Must be authorized to work in the United States

• Must be able to pass a background screening

• Must have a reliable vehicle to get to the office

Benefits:

• 2 weeks of PTO (80 hours) after 90 days of employment

• 1 week of Sick Leave (40 hours) after 90 days of employment Working conditions

Technicians are required to be available on a 24/7 basis in accordance with a rotational schedule with other technicians. Working hours for a Technician can be unpredictable in this industry, so flexibility and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations is key. Technicians will be working both inside and outside a commercial or residential property. Technicians will also be working on 1 story roof tops.

Normal operating hours are from 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday. Saturday and Sunday in an emergency call

Physical requirements

Water damage restoration can be a physically demanding job where the incumbent is required to stand for extended periods of time, must be able to lift minimum of 50lbs, lift heavy objects on a regular basis, wear PPE and protective masks and do repetitive tasks with few breaks. Often the work requires frequent bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, working while on the knees, in confined spaces, and working in hot temperatures both indoors and outdoors. Working on ladders both indoors and outdoors such as 1st floor rooftops In some instances, a project may require working in elevated levels of Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE).
