As we greet the day following Hurricane Milton, we are happy to report our American House team members and residents in our Florida communities are safe and comfortable. We are so proud of our amazing residents for their patience and strength. Surely the bonds our teams have with our residents are stronger having worked together during this challenging time.

As Hurricane Milton approaches, we want to assure our residents and families that your safety and well-being remain our top priority. Here's how we're preparing:

Final Preparations: Our teams have completed all necessary preparations, including stocking up on water and food supplies.

Monitoring the Storm: We're closely tracking Hurricane Milton's path and updates from local authorities to ensure we have the latest information.

On-Site Staffing: Our dedicated team members are staying on-site at our communities to provide continuous support and care for all residents.

Staying Calm and Collected: We are approaching this situation with calmness and readiness, ensuring that we are well-prepared for any scenario.

Stay Updated: We will continue to keep you informed with regular updates as the situation evolves.

American House has a robust emergency response team that is closely monitoring the current and expected weather this week. We have begun preparations and plan to shelter in place for the potential Hurricane Milton affecting our weather here in Southwest Florida.

Stay tuned here as we will continue to provide updates. In the meantime, services continue as usual except for transportation which will be cancelled as the storm begins to affect safe driving conditions. At this time, Wednesday transportation is cancelled.

As we prepare for Hurricane Milton, we want to keep you informed and reassured. Our Home Office and site teams are touring all our Florida communities today to complete our preparations checklist. We are closely monitoring the storm and ensuring that our generators are fueled and fully functioning.

Rest assured, our communities will be fully staffed to support you during this time. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Your safety and comfort are our top priorities, and we are here for you every step of the way.

Make sure to come donned in your most sophisticated ‘artsy’ attire! We’re looking forward to celebrating a night of food, family, and artistry!

"I do!" American House Senior Living Communities Kingsport hosted a wedding for the daughter of one of their Assisted Living residents. The bride, Michelle, walked her mom to her seat and wore her father's wedding ring, who was also a resident before his passing, around her neck to honor him. Congrats to the happy couple!! 💐💍🥰

The American House Senior Living Communities Somerset resident enjoyed birthday cake and an afternoon visit from the Clawson Fire Department and military personnel who helped honor Al's remarkable journey. "Fantastic!" If you know American House Senior Living Communities Zephyrhills resident Earl, then you know that this is his favorite word. Recently, Earl, with the help of Life Enrichment Director Lauranda, was selected to take part in an Honor Flight trip to Washington, D.C. Earl, along with other veterans, had the opportunity to fly on a jet to explore the nation's capital including the Lincoln Memorial and the Korean and Vietnam Walls. Upon return, Earl was greeted by over 1,000 people welcoming him back home. The experience could only be summed up in one word: Fantastic!
