The 2024 Giving Challenge is a great way to support New College students’ undergraduate research, thesis projects, and conference presentations. All funds raised during the Giving Challenge will benefit the Student Research and Travel Grant program (SRTG). Established over 20 years ago, SRTG is one of the oldest programs at the College and has helped thousands of New College students actively explore their intellectual curiosities through independent undergraduate research projects, senior theses, and presenting their work at conferences around the world. SRTG teaches students how to apply for competitive grants even before they graduate, which is very uncommon for undergraduates at most universities. Through this program, our students develop an essential skill that is transferable to every career. Since 2019 alone, we've distributed a quarter of a million dollars in grants to over 250 students!
Be sure to mark your calendar and get ready to give during the 2024 Giving Challenge from noon to noon April 9 - 10. When the day comes, visit GivingChallenge.org and make a donation to New College Foundation to support SRTG. To strengthen giving throughout our community, The Patterson Foundation will contribute a 1:1 match for unique donations, up to $100 per donor. For example, a $25 donation to New College Foundation is matched by The Patterson Foundation to become $50! Thank you for supporting New College students.
The 2024 Giving Challenge is presented by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County with giving strengthened by The Patterson Foundation.
