It's Optimist Award Season! We are seeking nominations for the following recognition:
- RESPECT FOR LAW - Due July 10th. Nominate a law enforcement, EMT, firefighter or business or other community member who is passionate about respecting law enforcement and educating our youth about these fields. Email for more info and to nominate to Marge Bates at [email protected].
- FRIEND OF YOUTH - Due August 10th. Nominate a community member who works for a youth program or organization and that excels in their work. Email Don Berger [email protected] for more info and to nominate.
Winners receive a $100 donation to charity or non profit of their choosing.

Club member Jim Bisek presents Youth Appreciation certificates and small creed plaques to 2 eighth graders at the Northdale Middle School, Anoka Hennepin School District. He's been doing this program for years, on behalf of the former North Suburban Optimist Club and continues it still. Good Job, Jim!
