Last Thursday, our team and Bonnie Smith Spittle, presented on "Creating a Coordinator Retention Revolution" at the Rural Medical Training Collaborative - New Annual Meeting! It was exciting to share our research and strategies for rural GME programs to effectively hire and retain the right coordinator.

Rural Health Job Opening

The Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative has a full time position for a Speech Pathology Manager. This position is responsible for the training, coordination and management of speech pathologists at locations throughout southern Wisconsin. This includes supervising, scheduling, budgeting, and strategic planning. This position will provide direct patient care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. The Speech Pathology Manager is also responsible for facilitating quarterly roundtable meetings for speech pathologists, nutrition specialists, radiology and rehab managers. This position requires a master’s degree in speech pathology with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, advanced training in dysphagia, an ability to teach and effectively problem solve, a WI license and ASHA certification. Management experience is preferred.

The deadline to apply for the Rural GME Coordinator Leadership Institute is Thursday, February 8th! 🌟 This is an exciting opportunity to explore leadership and professional development while networking and creating relationships with coordinators from rural programs coast to coast.
